Isurus vs MASONIC
Pinnacle Cup IV
Isurus and MASONIC will meet on Tuesday for the first time in history. The two teams will clash in Pinnacle Cup IV Round 3 Mid Matches, where they’ll fight for their second victory, which will take them one step closer to making the playoffs.
Even though both teams have done well enough to win one game apiece, there is a good reason why Isurus are priced as 2.40 underdogs. And it’s not because MASONIC are that good. On the contrary, it’s Isurus’ poor form.
Isurus kicked off the tournament with a narrow win against SKADE (2-1) and followed that up with a 1-2 defeat against Team Finest. That defeat marked Isurus’ fourth in their last seven outings, indicating that the LATAM squad likely are not in great shape.
Bue even with their shay showings, I have hope Isurus can leave a dent in MASONIC. The Danish squad have yet to achieve anything noteworthy, and let’s not forget that they lost against Apeks in their last fixture.
MASONIC might look stronger, but this should be a very close series that can easily go the distance. Take over 2.5 maps at 1.92!
SINNERS Esports vs K23
Pinnacle Cup IV
SINNERS and K23 will face off in the second Round 3 Mid Match at Pinnacle Cup IV. SINNERS are 2-15 underdogs for this fixture, while K23 are 1.62 favorites. That is fair if we consider that K23 defeated SINNERS at the end of January (2-1), but there’s more.
I favor K23, but I would not sleep on SINNERS, who have shown before that they can be excellent on any given day. However, they haven’t looked that sharp of late (2-1-4), nor have they won any notable tournaments.
And we could say the same about K23 and their recent accomplishments.
Their only notable achievement of the year was winning Pinnacle Winter Series #1, albeit way back in February. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that K23 have suffered only two losses in over a month (19-2).
With a form like that, it’s very hard to doubt K23. Admittedly, they’re not a top-tier team, but neither are SINNERS, who will have to step up their game if they wish to be competitive on Tuesday.
Team Spirit vs Team Finest
Pinnacle Cup IV
Team Spirit and Team Fines have won their opening two series of the tournament. Finest swept ECSTATIC (2-0) and edged past Isurus (2-1), whereas Team Spirit picked up two clean sweeps against BLUEJYAS and K23.
Results-wise, Spirit and Finest have shown about the same, but if we had to pick a side, we would give Spirit an edge. They have beaten stronger teams and have done in a very commanding fashion. Yes, Team Spirit has had a few slip-ups at the end of April, but this is still a team that can easily compete for Tier-two titles – as soon as they find momentum.
PickleBet has Spirit priced at 1.42, and I don’t think that’s too low. Team Finest might have won the same number of games this tournament, but their showings over the last few months have been largely disappointing.
Spirit might be a bit inconsistent, and they are more than capable of losing against teams such as Finest. But at 2.35, I’m ready to take Spirit to cover the 1.5 map handicap.
