Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, April 4th 2026
Race 1: Widden Kindergarten Stakes 1100m - 12:25pm (AEDT)
(1) Incognito: 2YO Colt who has been racing okay against some handy horses. Looks to have found a nice race here and with the booking of Zac Lloyd he can run a race. Drawn well and will be there abouts.
(3) The Next Episode: 2YO Colt who was an easy watch last start when breaking maiden at Warwick Farm. Up in class now, but looks capable. On top.
BET: NO BET
Race 2: TAB Adrian Knox Stakes Group 3 2000m - 1:00pm (AEDT)
(2) Queen Of Clubs: 3YO Filly who looks the roughie of the field now being out to 2000m. Drawn a nice alley and gets Craig Williams in the saddle. Conditions will suit and is hard fit fourth up. Blow out hope.
(3) Soverato: 3YO Filly who is favourite for this after winning stylish first up and then loomed the winner second up, but got nailed late by Aisle Two. (Big gaps to third) Tackled group 2 company third up and was only 1.4L off the winner in Sixties who is competing in a Group 1 on the card. Rises to 2000m now for the first time and J-Mac returns. Top hope.
BET: NO BET
Race 3: Schweppes Chairmans Qlty GROUP 2 2600m - 1:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Campaldino: 5YO who was enormous two back and then well supported to go on with things at Group 3 level most recently, but was a touch disappointing. Happy to forgive that effort on the run prior and fourth up now rising out to 2600m looks doable. Unbeaten fourth up and is a genuine stayer. Drawn well and will be around the mark.
(3) Travolta: 5YO gelding who has been sound this prep without winning, but was rather impressive in the Manion Cup when savaging the line to run 4th only a length off the winner. Rise in trip suits and is a proven 2600m winner. Of note, J-Mac gets the ride now. Looks the major player.
(3) Travolta E/W
$5.50/$2.20 (1U/2U)
Race 4: HKJC World Pool Carbine Club Stakes GROUP 3 1600m - 2:10pm (AEDT)
(1) Rivellino: 3YO Colt who hasn’t been up to his best this campaign but sees an easier affair now and will be rock hard fit fourth up. Best is good enough for this.
(5) Providence: 3YO who was dominant first up to break maiden and then jumped straight into a Group 1 affair which was probably a stretch. Back in grade now and looks a genuine hope at a decent price.
BET: NO BET
Race 5: Evergreen Turf Country Championship Final (FEATURE RACE) 1400m - 2:45pm (AEDT)
(3) Considered: 4YO Mare who has been racing great guns and is four from four this campaign. This now looks to be her toughest test yet, but has to be considered with the way she just keeps winning. If the conditions remain soft or worsen further, she will be a top pick.
(4) Vermicella: 5YO Mare who resumed nicely at Sapphire Coast putting them away by nearly 3L. Earnt her spot here and will be a danger. Goes well.
(12) Chidiac: 5YO Mare who was well backed first up to qualify for this event and got the chocolates. Of note she was a placegetter in the Kozciuszko last year. Zac Purton arrives to steer, so confidence is high. Go well.
BET: NO BET
Race 6: Inglis Sires GROUP 1 1400m2000m – 3:20pm (AEDT)
(4) Campione D’Italia: 2YO Colt who won in Group 2 company second up at big odds and then tackled the Golden Slipper last start and was terrific through to the line and smashed the clock late. The rise to 1400m now looks ideal off that effort and he looks to be a talented type going forward.
(12) Streisand: 2YO Filly who has been very good. Blue diamond winner which was an easy watch and then second in the slipper. Form has been good and no reason she doesn’t give this a shake. Drawn well.
BET: NO BET
Race 7: Asahi Super Dry TJ SMITH Stakes GROUP 1 1200m– 3:55pm (AEDT)
(1) Jimmysstar: 6YO gelding who was crunched in the market first up and didn’t show his usual turn of foot but did draw badly and settle rearward. Capable of bouncing back second up and will still have plenty of admirers.
(2) Briasa: 5YO gelding who loomed the winner in the Galaxy and just couldn’t reel them in but was only .3L off the winner in a blanket finish. Improver second up and will be hitting the line again. Value play.
(6) Joliestar: 5YO Mare who has been all class in her two return runs winning nicely. Since trialled to tick things over and no reason she can’t go on with things. Yet to win a race third up being the only query.
(2) Briasa E/W
$7.00/$2.10 (1U/2U)
Race 8: Doncaster Mile GROUP 1 1600m – 4:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Gringotts: 6YO gelding who looks over the odds here. First up run on paper looks bad finishing 9th of 10, but he was only 1.5L off the winner and he was hooning late. (Fastest last 200m). If that race was 1500m he probably wins there. Second up he tackled 1500m and finished second behind the undefeated Autumn Glow after tracking her to the line (Beat some talented types there). Out to the mile now where he is 6 from 9 and is 4 from 5 when third up. Draws well and although takes on another very talented type in Sheza Alibi, he has to be considered. Value.
(15) Sheza Alibi: 3YO Filly who has proven she is the real deal and is deserving favourite for this Group 1 affair. Gets in with only 49kg. Her most recent wins have been very impressive and indicate she will be the one to beat.
Also Backing: (1) Gringotts WIN $17 (0.5 Units)
(15) Sheza Alibi WIN
$2.10 (4 Units)
Race 9: Atc Australian Derby GROUP 1 2400m– 5:15pm (AEDT)
(1) Observer: 3YO colt who is a very talented type and was terrific first and second up before taking on Autumn Boy at Rosehill. He managed to stay on well and finished 3rd. Deserves to be on top again off recent form, but if the conditions don’t improve to a Soft 5 or better, id probably let him run around again. Dry track will boost confidence and I’ll be taking part.
(5) Storm Leopard: 3YO gelding who looks to be a decent type. Three wins and a second from his past five runs. The rise to 2400m looks the next step and will be there abouts in the finish. Each way
(1) Observer WIN
$3.00 (2 Units)
Race 10: 4 Pines PJ Bell Stakes GROUP 3 1200m – 5:50pm (AEDT)
(1) Inkaruna: 3YO Filly who we have been with for her first and second up run which have been frustrating as a punter. Arguable wins first up if she doesn’t get held up for a run. Second up run was good again but just found one better. Third up now, hard fit and will be there abouts. Last chance?
(9) Plaintiff: Unbeaten 3YO Filly who resumes today and has trialled nicely leading in. Draws the carpark being a concern and this is her toughest test to date. Worth thought.
(20) Nepo Baby: 3YO Filly who looks a nice value play here. Both returning runs have been sound and she only finished less than a length behind Savvy Hallie / Apocalyptic most recently which is a pretty handy form line. Draws well and with some luck in the big field, she goes close. Each way play.
(20) Nepo baby E/W
$10/$3.00 (1U/2U)
