2021 AFL Round 4 Tips

(Odds correct as of Monday, April 5th)

Thursday April 8th

swans vs bombers

The Swans are the form side in the competition at the moment, who would have picked that in the pre-season? They are coming off a monster win over Richmond in Round 3 and will face Essendon in the Thursday night round opener at the SCG. The Bombers are ravaged by injury but it didn't stop them absolutely decimating the Saints in Round 3.

Friday April 9th

power vs tigers

These two teams have developed a healthy rivalry over the past few seasons, culminating in their fantastic preliminary final last year. They will meet in a Friday night blockbuster in Round 4 from the Adelaide Oval in what should be a fast paced and attacking style game. This is a matchup we could see later in the year.

dogs vs lions

The Western Bulldogs are one of just three undefeated teams left in the AFL and they are riding high after a monster 128 point win over the Kangaroos in Round 3. They will square off against a Brisbane side that probably kept their season alive on Thursday night against the Pies, kicking a goal after the siren to record their first win of the year.

Saturday April 10th

saints vs eagles

Wow, how bad were the Saints on Saturday afternoon. They were smashed by the Bombers and are reeling at 1-2 with games against West Coast, Richmond and Port Adelaide over the next three weeks. They could conceivable be 1-5 and their season could be all but done by the end of April. It certainly gives Saturday's clash against the Eagles some added spice.

suns vs blues

The Suns and Blues are both 1-2 heading into their Round 4 clash on Saturday night. The Blues are on the back of a brilliant win over Fremantle but will have to travel north to Metricon Stadium for this clash. Probably the matchup with the least storylines of all this weekend, but still looking forward to anaylsing this one nonetheless.

Pies vs Giants

Heartbreak for the Pies on Thursday night as they watched Zac Bailey's set shot sail over the goal umpires head after the siren had sounded to lose the game. They will be desperate to bounce back and get a fantastic chance to do so in Round 4 against one of just two winless teams still in the AFL in the Greater Western Sydney Giants.

Sunday April 11th

roos vs crows

North Melbourne have some soul searching to do, that's for sure. They sit on the bottom of the AFL ladder with an 0-3 record and just 37.4 percentage points. They were dealt a massive 128 point defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs on the weekend and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. They'll lose this game against the Crows, check out betting tips to see how much we think they will lose by.

dees vs cats

The Demons have started the season 3-0 but will certainly get their toughest test of the season on Sunday in Round 4 as they face off against the Cats. Can they keep their winless season alive or will the Cats train roll on after their thrilling win over the Hawks on Easter Monday. This will certainly be the one to watch on Sunday.

dockers vs hawks

Both the Hawks and Dockers are 1-2 on the season so far but will be hunting a win when they face eachother in the final game of Round 4 on Sunday afternoon. Nat Fyfe should be back in the line-up for the Dockers after suffering a concussion in Round 2, bumping this game from a bit of a snoozefest to 'watchable'.
