Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday March 25th 2026

March 24th 2026, 3:29pm, By: Trent Orwin

Randwick Racing Tips

Randwick-Kensington hosts midweek metro racing in New South Wales on Wednesday with eight races. The first jumps at 1:45pm (AEDT) and the track conditions need to be monitored as it is currently a Heavy 9, but there are two days of sunshine forecast, which includes race day. The rail is in the true position. Trent Orwin brings you his three best bets for the program below!

Randwick-Kensington Racing Tips: Wednesday, March 25th 2026

Race 4: Asahi Super Dry Handicap 1150m – 3:30pm (AEDT)

(4) Hezdarnhottoo races third-up from a spell for trainer Bjorn Baker. At his return, he was third in a Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1100m before heading south to Flemington for a fifth placing in a Benchmark 84 Handicap over the same distance. Returning to a Benchmark 78 and the addition of James McDonald are both positives. From the wide draw, he should press forward to take up a prominent position and be given every chance. Hopefully the track dries out a bit more for the gelding.

(3) Grand Prairie jumps from the car park and raced a fortnight ago at Warwick Farm when narrowly beaten. If the three-year-old colt gets some cover in the run, he will be dangerous late. The track condition will not bother the son of Written Tycoon at all. Strong claims.

(9) Hay Street broke the maiden last start and will relish carrying just 52.5kg with the claim from Braith Nock. Should get a really nice map here and can threaten again.

(4) Hezdarnhottoo WIN

$3.30 (2 Units)

Race 6: 2026 Nov Keeneland Breeding Stock Sale Handicap 1150m – 4:40pm (AEDT)

(4) Horseshoe Hill is a three-year-old filly that enters the race second-up from a spell, following a sixth placing behind Beadman in the Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m). Despite the sixth, she was still galloping through the line well to finish 2.51 lengths behind the winner. Hopefully she can settle midfield or just worse than midfield in a bid to try and run them down late.

(2) Surf’s Up is the race favourite and she resumes for Chris Waller in the famous Ingham Racing cerise colours. Her form was excellent last prep before finishing eighth in the Group 3 Red Roses Stakes (1100m). A recent trial win will have her ready to fire first-up in this Benchmark 72 Handicap.

(10) Lighthouse Lass is knocking on the door with back-to-back seconds. She was beaten a length by Seastraand in a Class 1 event. Drops back from 1300m to 1150m which should be no concern for the filly. Could be well back in the field but should be finishing well.

(4) Horseshoe Hill WIN

$4.00 (1.5 Units)

Race 7: Hawaii Five Oh @ Vinery Stud Handicap 1800m – 5:15pm (AEDT)

(3) Cap Saint Martin made his Australian debut at Warwick Farm on March 11, when finishing third, beaten two lengths by Fiddlers Green. Will appreciate the step up from the mile to 1800m with a run under the belt. One query is gate one, but they should be more positive here, trying to not let too many horses get ahead early. The imported middle-distance gelding should run a big race in this.

(5) Kenmare Bay is ultra consistent and the numerical form alone tells that. A four-year-old gelding for trainer Tom Charlton, he has either won or been placed in the last four starts. Most recently, a three-length second behind Powerhouse in this grade. Expecting another solid run.

(2) Glad You Think So drops in class after a fourth and sixth this prep. He was second the last time he contested a Benchmark 78 Handicap and the 3kg claim from Siena Grima aids his cause. Can be fighting out the finish if he gets a good trip throughout.

(3) Cap Saint Martin WIN

$3.60 (2 Units)
