Midweek racing returns to Warwick Farm again with a small card of six races. The first is expected to jump at 2:20pm AEDT and the last at 5:15pm AEDT. The track conditions are set for GOOD/SOFT conditions but watch and monitor. All selections made at 6:30am on the 5th of December 2023.

Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, December 6th 2023
Race 1: Earthlight First Yearlings 2400m BM72 at 2:20pm AEDT
(2) AUSPICIOUS CLOUD ($2.90) – 5YO mare who lumped 60kg last start over this trip and only finished 3L behind the leader. Gets fourth up now where she js unbeaten and has good form over this trip. Drops 1kg off that run and the competition looks easier here. Confidence boost with Nash in the saddle who is in good form. Draws a nice gate and will be around the mark.
(3) FIRST LIGHT ($3.90) – 6YO who didn’t finish that far behind the winner last start with AUSPICIOUS CLOUD in the same race. Draws pole this time which should put him closer in the run. Afraid he has been up for too long and may be getting tired for this trip, but he is proven over this trip and worth thought off the last run.
(2) AUSPICIOUS CLOUD – WIN

Race 2: James Squire 1000m BM64 at 2:55pm AEDT
(2) MARTIAL MUSIC ($3.90) – 4YO gelding who did a terrific job last start and won by 2L. All career wins have come from the 1000m sprint. He has had early market support too which is good to see. Rises in class now and gets 60kg on his back, but looks the one to beat on paper here. Should be fitter off last starts run and is proven on the GOOD & SOFT track conditions. Draws 8 and I expect him to try sit just off pace from there, but will be storming late.
(2) MARTIAL MUSIC – WIN

Race 3: TAB Super Maiden Hcp 1100m at 3:30pm AEDT
(1) ZARAGOZA ($2.40) – Unraced 4YO gelding who has trialled well coming into his maiden start. I will be watching the market for any support, but trusting the stable here. Worth thought off his trial runs. With Dazzle Legend scratched, Zaragoza now goes on top.
*SCRATCHED* (3) DAZZLE LEGEND – 3YO gelding who flew home last start, but left it a little too late. Draws a low gate again and hoping he can sit a little closer so he doesn’t need to chase again. Drops a kg off that run and will be fitter now second up. Nash RAWILLER in the saddle is a big tick. Keen as he has the race experience on ZARAGOZA here.
