Knights vs Warriors Predictions & Tips: NRL Round 3 2026
Changing the narrative
It’s been a strong start to the season for the Knights with 2 wins from as many matches. Most recently, it was a dazzling 6-try display which completely shut their opponents out of the contest. The game was all but over after a strong first half saw them lead 30-6 at the break, with both sides managing just one try each in the second half. They dominated possession (56%), completed well (83%), ran strongly with the ball (9.4m per carry and 502 PCM’s), and missed just 19 tackles. The victory came at a cost though, with both Brown and Ponga facing a month-long absence due to injury; their depth and resilience now face a tough test.
Unbeaten and plenty still to give
The Warriors also remained unbeaten and for the second consecutive week, scored 40+ points. The 7-try display saw them dominate possession (55%), complete well (86%), run strongly with the ball (9.5m per carry), and miss just 29 tackles. It was a measured performance with further displays the growth in maturity of this team. They even had positive ends to attacking sets to build pressure on their opponents. This is now the first time they hit the road in 2026, but the signs are positive. They are still awaiting the return of key players to their team which should only strengthen this side moving forward.
Stats that matter
- The Warriors have won 4 of the past 5 games against the Knights. Interestingly, they struggle at this ground though, winning just 41% of matches compared to the Knights 53%.
- The average margin of victory is 12.6 points in the past 5 matches. A blowout 30-point win skews this statistic, with 3 games decided by 8 points or less.
- The point total in the past 5 matches between these two sides is unusually low. The average is 35.4 points, with only one game totalling more than 38 points.
Omissions deciding this contest
Unfortunately for the Knights, they are without their two key men in Brown and Ponga. Many will make a case that the absence of a star player lifts others to fill that void. While that may be the case, you only must look as far back as last week to see how that worked for them. They managed just the one try in their absence; rather, they will attack via their defence. The Warriors appear to be building strongly. Capable of overcoming their first road game of the season, they are also well placed to improve their record at this ground. Their attack is playing confidently and there is no doubt that they have developed the poise to build pressure on their opponents. The unexpected determination of the Knights defensive line will make them work hard for their point but ultimately, they will possess too many opportunities to not capitalise and win this contest, by more than a converted try.

Knights vs Warriors Same Game Multi
Leg 1 = Total points under 51.5 – the recent history suggests this will be close and you only must look at the improvements each team has made in this area to determine how they will establish a presence in this game.
Leg 2 = Sharpe to score – he returns for his first game since Las Vegas where he also crossed for a try. That makes it 5 tries in as many matches and getting his hands on the ball as much as possible makes him a strong attacking threat.
Leg 3 = Halasima to score – he loves playing the Knights and is a man in form. He has scored a double in his last outing and 6 tries in his past 5 matches.
