Caulfield Heath will host midweek racing in Victoria this week and there are a few classy types resuming from their Spring campaigns. Engine Of War resumes in race one which kicks us off at 2:30pm (AEDT), while Santana looks like one to watch in race 4. There was a bit of drizzle on Monday but the track is still predicted to be a Good4. Our three best bets are below!

Race 1: Sportsbet Blackbook Handicap 1500m - 2:30pm (AEDT)
(5) Lyrics And Song for Michael Walker has race fitness on her side after she was 3rd at Caulfield, beaten less than a length on February 27. Before that she looked good in winning a jumpout at Cranbourne. In the Spring Carnival she finished off with a 3rd in the Listed Twilight Glow which was a good result. She then spelled. Likely to pick up a race or two this campaign.
(1) Engine Of War was excellent on September 21 when running on for 2nd over 1800m at Flemington. He was then sent around a $2.60 favourite on Caulfield Cup Day and was poor (7th). Was backed up in the Victoria Derby where he was 11th. Will be interesting to see how he has come back.
(4) Light Moves is the stablemate of Engine Of War and led at Pakenham before getting tired over the final 100m last start (2nd). Sent back and ran on well to win his maiden before that at Pakenham.

Race 4: Sportsbet Up And Coming Stars Heat 3 1200m - 4:15pm (AEDT)
(9) Santana had his first start last winter at Flemington and ran 8th in a Listed race. He was then sent straight to the paddock to mature for 8 months and came back well to win a Cranbourne jumpout and run very well at this track for 2nd on March 4. The son of Ole Kirk can produce with his second try over this trip.
(5) Ten Warriors is a maiden but has placed 10 of 14 starts. Last start at Hillside he was sent out favourite and almost got there when 3rd but beaten less than a half a length. Has 3 seconds to his name over this distance..
(11) Dama Royale has placed in all career starts and they have been on Good tracks. Craig Williams goes on this time and will produce a run from midfield I reckon.

Race 8: Sportsbet Race Replays Handicap 1000m - 6:30pm (AEDT)
(5) Runlikenencyption has Craig Williams back on and he won on top when riding him at Lakeside on Boxing Day. Has run a close up second and two fourths since and he has only been defeated a total of 4.3L in all of those. A Dry track looks more to his liking and he has only missed a placing once over this distance. Ben Brisbourne will want him settled midfield from barrier 5 I think.
(9) Regeneration is first up from a three month spell and has won a recent jumpout at Cranbourne. He was 3rd at Caulfield in the Spring in the Group 3 Blue Sapphire and from barrier 9 Damien Lane will get him over to sit outside the leader I reckon. Won carrying this weight at Geelong in November and it will take a good run to catch him.
(8) Hello Romeo will also sit handy in the run and he is a big chance if the track is downgraded to Soft. His Dry track form isn’t great but he does like the 1000m sprint.
