Horse Racing Tips: Sunday, April 19th
Wagga Race 2 - (Market)
There are no stars here and I think the map is the key here with (12) Dancin’ Til Dawn likely to go forward and find the top from the inside draw. She was ok on debut after getting back then had a mini-spell with 7 weeks between runs. She resumed here three weeks ago and was a lot closer in the run, she was trapped off the track though and failed to finish it off. This is certainly no harder and she gets a huge jockey change with Blaike McDougall taking the ride. I expect that she will be a big improver having her first run on top of the ground, the good draw should see her punch forward and if she finds the rail first, will be very hard to run down. (1) Charming Pat is pushing for favourtism, he has to be a big lay having his eight start at his first campaign! His last three runs he has been beaten 11.5 lengths, 11.2 lengths and 18.5 lengths. Was it a matter of him not handing the wet tracks at those runs or just that he has had enough! Surely he doesn’t start under each-way odds, he will be a big drifter.

Wagga Race 7 - (Market)
The Murrumbidgee Cup is the feature of the day and once again I am relying on our tip (5) Azaryah getting a soft lead. He has been up for an eternity but has been racing well, he placed at two on the bounce before scoring here last time. She was back to the 2000m last start and found the front, she railed well and kicked hard into the straight and never looked like getting run down. She was very heavily backed late, look for any pattern early in the day favouring those on the speed. She looks a great each-way bet to nothing, hoping she finds the rails first and makes it a genuinely run race.
Terang Race 1 - (Market)
Terang Cup day and we are going to concentrate on the first two maidens on the card. ‘Beetroot” Williams has three first-starters engaged and we are going with the most fancied of those (7) In Hot Water. The daughter of Headwater has had three jump-outs in preparation for this, winning the last two. The latest was at Camperdown, she was awkwardly away and pulled her way to the front off the rail. She was over-racing before the jock let her have her head in the straight, she looked to have plenty to learn and was all over the shop. She let down nicely and ran away for an easy win, she looks to have plenty of ability. A replay of that jump-out can be found here.
Terang Race 2 - (Market)
On a day where there look to be a few shorties that will be very hard to beat, (12) Tralee Rose looks one of the safest plays and anything in black figures looks a gift. She has been to the races twice, she debuted at Geelong over 7 furlongs and after being slowly away, was left flat-footed when they quickened before running on well through the line to be beaten just over 2 lengths. She then went to the Bendigo mile was mid-field before charging home to narrowly miss as favourite. She looks to be crying out for more ground, gets out in trip and should be too good for this moderate bunch.
