Caulfield will host nine races on the Saturday timeslot in Victoria this week with track conditions still remaining a Good 4 despite 5mls of rain on the course on Thursday. Race 1 starts at 11:50am AEST with the Vale Snitzel, and what a good horse he was being a four-time Champion Sire Of Australia.
Below, Brendan Bunworth brings you his three best bets for day as well as his Quaddie selections. If you’re after more free tips for this weekend’s key meets, then head over to our Racing Tips here!
Caulfield Racing Tips: Saturday, June 28th 2025
Race 5: Sportsbet Blackbook Handicap - 2:15pm AEST
(2) Euphoric was unlucky last start and is a good each-way chance in this event. At Flemington on June 7 he still made up late ground when 3rd after being held up and staying at the 2000m here looks ideal. A Soft track will be better so he will hope for some drizzle on race morning. Zac Spain has won twice from 5 starts on top and he takes the responsibility again.
(4) Blanchland hit the line well last start and the extra distance suits here. He will get back in the run but will be one of the best late.
(8) Flamin’ Romans is fitter now being third up and he loves racing over the 2000m. He likes Caulfield and he likes having John Allen on top but does have to carry 1.5kg extra.
(2) Euphoric Each-Way
$6.50/$2.30 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Sportsbet More Places Handicap - 3:30pm (AEST)
(8) Moby Dick has drawn poorly in 16 but is fitter now and if the track stays Good that helps him even further. Logan Bates gets the claim and despite not placing over late, Moby Dick is never far off the winner. The $6.50 on offer does seem a bit short but Moby has won twice over this distance before. Lightly raced but is in an in-form stable in Price&Kent.
(3) Zou Sensation has drawn inside so will likely run less meterage than Moby Dick. He has been freshened for this and he goes very well on Dry tracks. Second up and his second up form is solid.
(5) Chinqui was 3rd at this track two starts ago and then followed that up with a nice win at Hillside. Has won 3 races on the Good and he is 1 from 1 for Tom Prebble. Consistent.
(8) Moby Dick Each-Way
$6.50/$2.40 (1 Unit)
Race 9: MRC Chairmans Club Handicap - 4:40pm AEST
(9) Rheinberg should run better over the 1440m because the 1200m is too short for him and thats what he raced over first up. He has won 5 times over this distance and Caulfield is one of his favourite tracks. The last time he raced over this distance he was 4th at Flemington beaten only 1.5L and that was a good effort. At 20-1 he is worth a throw at the stumps.
(6) Running By likes Good tracks and she was only beaten by under a length when 3rd last start at Hillside. Likes this distance and she has placed in Group races.
(8) Yellow Sam has won 12 times on Good tracks and he did get there by a nose at Swan Hill last start. Has won on 5 occasions for Fred Kersley and he has won 3 from 4 second up.
(9) Rheinberg Each-Way
$20/$4.00 (0.5 Units)
