PlayUp was formed as a result of merging popular Australian brands MadBookie, ClassicBet and TopBetta together. They have also recently integrated their daily fantasy sports site Draftstars into the platform to provide a complete one-stop shop for betting and daily fantasy sports.
See our full PlayUp review below, which highlights some of the key features of both the PlayUp website and the PlayUp mobile app, and takes you through some of the top promotions and offers for customers.
PlayUp Interactive Pty Ltd is an Australian based gaming company which splashed onto the gambling scene in early 2019 with the purchase of multiple Australian bookmakers. They swooped in and purchased well-known brands Classicbet, TopBetta and MadBookie before merging the three to create the PlayUp brand.
They also purchased the biggest daily fantasy site in Australia, Draftstars, which now makes them one of them major players in the Daily Fantasy Sports industry in Australia. For more information about Draftstars, check out our Draftstars review.
PlayUp Betting Markets
PlayUp offer a solid range of sports betting markets on both sport and racing. While they don’t yet offer the range of some of the larger sportsbooks, the merger of three different sports betting companies, and all of their resources, has definitely allowed them to add an increased range of markets in their new product.
A range of sports markets are offered on the PlayUp website, with Australian Rules, Basketball, Cricket, Football and Rugby League the main sports markets for punters to access. All of the big football leagues, or soccer if that is your preferred term, appear with the English Premier League, Bundesliga and A-League being offered at PlayUp which will appeal to football fans around the world.
PlayUp are still an emerging operator in the Australian sports betting industry, so their list of key features and innovations is still developing, however, they do offer a good amount of features that have become standout throughout the sports betting industry in this day and age.
One thing that we really enjoy about the PlayUp website is the dark theme they use. Sports betting and sports markets are easily viewable on the dark background and the use of branded green throughout is easy on the eye.
The sports and racing menu can be found on the left hand side of the page, with the selected markets in the middle. Users betslips can be found on the right and you can view your account information as well as pending and resulted bets using the bar at the top of the page.
The PlayUp website is easy to use and has all of the features that you have come to expect. The horse racing ticker at the top of the page is a great feature if you need to get a bet on quickly, and users can quickly redirect to the fantasy side of the brand from the top left of the page.
They have also recently integrated Draftstars into the same software platform so that you can access daily fantasy sports using the same wallet.
PlayUp Mobile App
The PlayUp mobile app is available on both iOS devices and Android, and is free to download. A great thing about the PlayUp mobile app is the pin code login feature, which is standard in most mobile apps these days. Nothing is worse than having to enter your full login details when you are trying to quickly place a bet, so the pin code feature eliminates this problem.
The app design is similar to that of Draftstars, and also has a dark theme, which is easy on the eye. Next to go racing is at the top of the home page with a live countdown timer to each race while next to go sport is right below that.
Overall, we have found that PlayUp is one of the easier apps to use on the market.
PlayUp offer a decent range of promotions for registered customers that are regularly updated to cater for the feature race meets of the day as well as the upcoming major sporting events.
As always, please check the terms and conditions of any sports betting promotion as they are only available to eligible customers and may not be available to all states.
Remember to always refer to the terms and conditions of any promo you are hoping to claim at PlayUp.
