Today's Sha Tin card looks slightly underhwelming following some stacked race meetings in Hong Kong and then yesterday across Australia. Nevertheless, there are some solid betting opportunities which have been identified and presented below.
Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday February 12th
Race 5
(3) Stand Up is overdue for a win having run 2nd in his last 4 attempts. With a good gate this time he should be extremely hard to beat under Zac Purton.
(6) Adefill was able to beat Stand Up last time but has a lot against him this time. Should be able to run well again but the tables should be turned with this favourite.
(10) Colourful Prince is drawn perfectly and won his way out of C5 last time. Form typically holds well up in classes on the AWT so expect that to carry this horse a long way here.
Race 6
(5) Smiling Collector launched from back in the field last time behind Fast Buck. Fast Buck is favourite in another race today but Smiling Collector is a nice price here and drawn relatively well.
(2) Forerunner won on debut and may have just been a touch flat 2nd up. Can bounce back here with a good ride from Hugh Bowman. 61kg is a query.
(9) Run Run Buddy was good alongside Forerunner last time and there doesn’t look to be much between them. Should be in the finish.
(5) Smiling Collector e/w

Race 8
(5) Wide Blue Yonder holds a great record over this t/d. Stormed home well last time and gets big weight relief here with Angus Chung taking the ride.
(2) Fast Buck looks dangerous and has good potential to progress. Zac Purton is aboard from a nice gate, the only concern is the heavy weight.
(6) Holy Power is in form early in his career. He’s drawn poorly under Vincent Ho but has barely done anything wrong to date so should be able to produce a strong effort again.
