Mornington will host a seven-race program on Wednesday with the first race coming to viewers at 1pm (AEST). After a bit of rain on Monday and Tuesday the track will likely be a Heavy 9 and the temperature will be around the 12-degree mark. The Quaddie legs will go from races 4-7 with the first leg getting underway at 2:45 pm (AEST).

Mornington Racing Tips – Wednesday, June 21st 2023
Race 1: No Fuss Event Hire Plate - 1pm (AEST)
(7) Embarque is on debut and despite never having raced previously, she is Sure to get a lot of support off punters. The three-year-old filly has drawn barrier 7 and has Billy Egan on board for Graham Begg. Both Begg and Egan are in fine form and after an impressive jumpout this filly is sure to show promise. She has won her last two trials and the only negative is that she's up against racehorses that have raced previously.
(10) Our Red Morning didn't have much luck when 9th at Echuca last start and she has drawn poorly again here in barrier 13.
(5) New Hampshire Raced well when second last start and she gets the blinkers on for the first time here.
(2) Chambers Bay has drawn inside and has the blinkers on. Did win a trial at Moe last week.
(7) Embarque - WIN

Race 4: The Big Screen Company - 2:45pm (AEST)
(4) Copperfield has raced on pace his last two starts and has finished 2nd fand 6th respectively He is fitter now and Beau Mertens has been riding well for the stable. This 5-year-old gelding has been lightly raced and has only missed a placing on one occasion. He is at Mornington for the first time but his race pattern should suit the track.
(3) Aminikii sees a Heavy track for the first time but he's fully fit now and was unlucky last start.
(2) Almighty Will Is experienced and has drawn well in barrier 2. His form on the Heavy is poor however but he is very fit now.
(1) Court Deep will be up on pace and is a lot fitter now. He has won 2 of 3 starts on the Heavy but is the top weight and is carrying 61kg with the claim.
(4) Copperfield - WIN

Race 6: Modtech Group Electricians Handicap - 3:55pm (AEST)
(11) Delicious Tycoon Returns to Mornington after running 5th here 2 weeks ago. She likes rain affected ground and the Matt Laurie stable is racing very well at present. Last time she had a bad barrier in 12 but today she has drawn a lot better in 3. The distance won't be a problem and Zac Spain takes the ride this time.
(15) Beau Night can place at good odds. She is second emergency but goes in after running on very well last time for a placing At Seymour. Before that he won at Kyneton. A little harder here but is a chance.
(8) It’s True Has Dan Stackhouse on here and Stacky has placed on her twice previously. Barrier 4 is a positive and she should be 100% fit now.
(1) Burgunder has a wide barrier to contend with in 13 but he is fitter now and should settle on speed. Campbell Rawiller takes the ride and this one has previously won on the Heavy.
(11) Delicious Tycoon – E/W

Race 7: Brad Masters Plumbing Handicap - 4:30pm (AEST)
(6) Heywood Goes well over this distance and is fitter after an 8th at sale behind the likely favourite of this race. He performs well on rain affected ground and he will likely take off from the 500 on what is a tight track. Declan Bates takes the ride and we should get nice odds with this one.
(2) La Caresse hasn't placed in a while but does like Heavy tracks. Mertens rides him for the second time and will have to try and get over from barrier 11.
(11) Le Derriere has won 3 times from 5 starts with Jack Hill on board. She likes this track and she has been consistent of late.
(12) La Zucca Likes Mornington and likes Heavy tracks. She has drawn well in 3 and could sit behind the leader in the run.
