Caulfield will host its traditional Boxing Day race meeting as will many other country racing clubs around the state on Tuesday. We will concentrate on Caulfield though which will start at 1:15pm (AEDT). It’s hard to tell at the time of typing what the track will be like as there is 40mls of rain expected to fall on the track in the lead up.

Caulfield Racing Tips: Tuesday, December 26th 2023
Race 1: Dennis Hanrahan Handicap - 1:15pm (AEDT)
(1) Bold Soul was too good when taking off from midfield at Donald 2 starts back and then tried the same tactics again last start for a 3rd at this track. There may be more pace on here and that might be the difference.
(6) Angel Down was beaten a nose at this track last time and McNeil stays on. Did lead last time and may come across again from barrier 8.
(5) Thin Red Line won a Pakenham jumpout on December 12 and won when favourite last time. Kah is on and it doesn’t matter if he settles forward or back.
(2) Cortain has drawn inside an is in consistent form but is up in class here. Will likely finish just off them.

Race 5: Ken Sturt Handicap - 3:40pm (AEDT)
(16) Rubicon Crossing was just plain last start at Warrnambool when 5th but before that was very impressive when 3rd at The Valley. On that occasion she got back in the run and powered to the line with good closing sectionals. Kah replaces Egan on top and with a lighter weight than most, can run home well again,
(13) Mrs Chrissie won a Cranbourne jumpout last week and she has won over this distance before. She will roll forward in this one.
(18) Stupendo will likely get a run as second emergency and should run well on the back of his Ballarat 2nd last start. That was on Heavy ground though.
(11) All About Eve is one I liked a year ago but she has run poorly since. She has won 2 over the distance and raced in much tougher races than this.
(16) Rubicon Crossing

Race 6: Magic Millions Lords Stakes - 4:20pm (AEDT)
(3) Ain’tnodeeldun was superior at The Valley last start when taking off 3 wide at the 500m to score. It's his first try at Caulfield but with Egan on top again (unbeaten on top) he can try similar tactics in a race that has a bit of speed. However, with this one a GOOD surface is needed and if it gets downgraded to Soft then its a no bet. It's his first try over the distance but I reckon we can get each-way odds here, so a placing will get our money back.
(3) Junipal was 2nd in the Werribee Cup last start when beaten half a length behind Keats. That race looks a little stronger than this and he should get the gun run again from barrier 3 like he did in the Cup and settle 3rd.
(4) Keats is a huge chance if the track gets downgraded to Soft. Werribee Cup winner who will likely lead.
(9) Beehunter is my best roughie of the day if the track stays Good. If it's a wet track, then No bet.
(3) Aint’nodeeldun E/W
$5/$1.85 (1 Unit)
Race 8: Take It To The Neds Level Handicap - 5:40pm (AEDT)
(5) Healing Oasis will be a good bet at good odds if the track is Soft or Heavy. Kah is on and she did win a Pakenham jumpout last week. She was placed in a Listed race two starts back at Randwick and that race was harder than this. She is third up and should be close to full fitness now.
(1) Sissoko was 2nd in a recent Werribee jumpout on a wet track and can place at odds if the track is rain affected. Is first up and may be better with run number 2 from a spell.
(2) Imperial Lad led and came 3rd at this track two starts back. Can place again if leads.
(7) Lounge Bar Rubi has won half of his career starts on Soft ground so will want a downgrade from current conditions. He is 1 from 1 over the track & distance.
(5) Healing Oasis E/W
