Monday Night Football - Newcastle Knights Vs North Queensland Cowboys

This week on Monday Night Football, we have the Newcastle Knights hosting the North Queensland Cowboys. For the Knights the one positive of being at the bottom is that things can’t get any worse. But in this game we think their only hope is the fact the Cowboys have not won any of their 6 away games this season. Realistically the Knights season is over, the chances of them making the finals is ridiculously low. They are 0-7 recently and the horizon doesn't look bright.
The last time these two team met was in Round 5, where we saw the Cowboys annihilate the Knights 28-2. Despite the Knights being billed at favourites to win (paying $1.75 at Ladbrokes), it’s hard to see them getting the two points on Monday night.
Both Darius Boyd and Beau Scott have been named for Newcastle, backing up after Wednesday night’s State of Origin Game 2. The same goes for Johnathan Thurston and James Tamou for the Cowboys. Brent Tate (ACL - Season) and Matt Scott (Cheekbone - 6wks) are both out for the Cowboys after suffering long term injuries on Wednesday night.
The Cowboys will be looking for their first away win of the season, and this is a great chance to do just that. Thinking the Cowboys should get it done and claim the victory on Monday night, but still happy to take the four point buffer.
