Royal Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, March 7th 2026
Race 5: All Occasion Cruise Fireball Stakes 1100m - 2:50pm (AEDT)
(1) Hidden Motive: Resuming 3YO Colt who has a decent CV and gets a few favours today with the low draw and soft track conditions. Maps to get a lovely run and with Tim Clark steering the ship punters will get a run for their money. Looks a nice value pick.
(3) Beadman: 3YO Colt who starts favourite here and both career wins have come on the soft/heavy deck, so conditions suit. Drawn well and J-Mac gets back into the saddle. Major player.
(4) Inkaruna: Smart 3YO filly who resumes here off a 16-week let-up following a highly progressive campaign that culminated in a deserved Group 3 victory. She continued to raise the bar last prep and closed it out in style, suggesting there’s more to come this time around. Her fresh form stacks up strongly. First-up last campaign she was excellent over this trip at Flemington, finishing a close third behind the talented MY GLADIOLA, and she also boasts a quality Group 3 second over the same distance behind POINT BARROW. That’s rock-solid form for this level. Back to Listed grade at set weights, she finds a very suitable setup. The inside draw is ideal to either hold the lead or secure the perfect trail, and the booking of Zac Lloyd — who is enjoying a standout season — adds further confidence. Her recent jump out behind Sepals was sharp and suggests she’s forward enough to fire fresh. Ticks all the right boxes. Major player.
(4) Inkaruna Win
$3.70 (2 Units)
Race 7: Schweppes Challenge Stakes 1000m Group 2 – 4:00pm (AEDT)
(1) Giga Kick: 6YO gelding who is a very talented sprinter and rates highly for this affair. He was back to his best last prep. First up run was sound, but dictated the race and was run down. He is better off siting back and launching late. Goes well second up and relishes on the soft track. Goes well.
(3) Skybird: 5YO Mare we were with her last campaign first-up in the Moir Stakes and the run was far better than it reads on paper. She was a complete forgive — held up at crucial stages, never clear, and finished just two lengths off BARAQUIEL with plenty left in the tank. With even luck, she arguably goes very close to winning that. Second-up didn’t pan out. She was difficult to load, blew the start and found herself spotting them too big a start at The Valley — race over. The stable opted to pull stumps and send her for a 23-week freshen. She’s trialled up nicely for this return, owns a strong first-up record and is proven at the 1000m trip. From a kind draw she maps to enjoy a far smoother run in transit, and with MAZU & RAGING FORCE likely to ensure genuine tempo, the race sets up perfectly for her explosive late turn of foot. If she produces anything like that Moir run, she’s well over the odds. Roughie with serious upside
(8) Raging Force: Resuming 3YO gelding who looks to be an up and coming talent. Has trialled well leading into this first up run and has a very good record on the soft track 5:4-0-0. Draws low and will be dictating to his liking and will take catching. Worth thought
(3) Skybird E/W
$13/$3.20 (0.5u/1.5u)
Race 8: The Agency Randwick Guineas 1600m – 4:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Autumn Boy: 3YO Colt who resumed soundly finishing 3rd over 1400m and had to come from the tail to do so. Draws a nice gate today and J-Mac is sticking with him. The rise to 1600m will suit, but will need to lift slightly to beat key rivals. Genuine hope.
(3) Ninja: 3YO gelding who is as honest as they come and always runs a good race. He was dominant first up over 1400m and was eased up before the line. Tackles the mile for the first time now, but off that first up run there doesn’t appear to be any issues. Major player.
(9) Sheza Alibi: 3YO Filly who just continues to win and was very good last start resuming over 1400m. Backers would’ve been nervous when they straightened and she was badly held up, but credit to the jockey who took the rails run and then kicked through and won convincingly. She rises in class now but has plenty of upside and gets in lightly. Terrific soft tracker and unbeaten second up. Hard to look past.
(9) Sheza Alibi Win
