Rosehill has thrown up a monster ten-race card for racing fans to enjoy on Saturday with the feature race, the eighth on the card, the Group 3 Festival Stakes. It’s a stacked field for that event which is more or less the tale of the entire meeting. Plenty of exciting racing nation-wide which should make for a phenomenal day.
Blake Lalor has taken a look at the local form and brings us his free preview and racing tips for the Rosehill meeting this Saturday.

Race 4
This is a very exciting race with a field almost full of progressive horses. (3) Worthily is my pick of the lot having run 3rd to French Emperor and Beltoro in a strong race in Victoria. He’s had plenty of spaced runs but beating Hasseltoff and running 2nd to Uncle Bryn is strong form for this race. The horse loves dry ground and should have acclimatised now having his 2nd preparation in Australia.
(3) Worthily E/W
$6.00/$1.95 (1u e/w)
Race 7
How on earth was (1) Dr Drill an $8 chance in the little dance with gate 20 and 62kg but he’s more than double the price in this with only 58kg and gate 2? If he was expected to run well last time he should definitely be running well here and is a great price to find out.
Dr Drill E/W
$19/$5 (0.5u e/w)
Race 8
(5) Mirra Vision is an absolute standout on form here after finishing 2nd to Icebath in the Group 1 Empire Rose at Flemington. Form prior to that was sound behind more Group 1 quality opposition including Chain Of Lightning and Nimalee from wide barriers. She’s drawn sticky again here but in a much weaker field should be right in the finish regardless of her run. I’m confident that she’ll slot in up front with plenty of backmarkers and slow starters drawn inside her.
(5) Mirra Vision
$6.00 (1 unit)
Race 9
Hopefully (6) Najmaty can finally get a dry track and not be scratched. I’ve lost count of how many times the Snowdens have dodged wet tracks and unsuitable races with this mare after heading off some of the strongest form lines I’ve ever seen in racing from Eagle Farm in the Autumn. Najmaty won consecutive races up in Queensland, the 2nd of which was the Listed Coughlan Stakes. Juan Diva came out of that race to win the Healy Stakes which produced 8 subsequent winners in their next start. Najmaty then ran 2nd in a Dane Ripper and hasn’t been seen since. She might have a few things against her over 1100m at Rosehill but I’m trusting she’s held her form from the Autumn and is the best horse in this race.
(6) Najmaty E/W
$5.50/$2.10 (1u e/w)
