Sandown Lakeside Racing Tips: Wednesday, June 3rd
Race 1: Sportsbet Jockey Watch Plate 1200m – 12:25pm AEST
(12) Miss Lola is still trying to break her maiden status after eight career runs which have seen her placed on five occasions for trainer Chris Waller. She resumed at Moe with a narrow second to Golden Magnate on a Soft 7 track. The wet shouldn’t worry her here and if she runs like last start, she should be winning this race.
(8) Sonic Surge looks the main danger after a strong debut when third back in December before failing to fire at his latest. He has had a pair of jump outs, looking good in them, and looks a threat to the favourite. He will need to overcome the outside gate.
(9) Tagamate has been placed at his past two starts, although this looks harder. The soft ground in the Kilmore race didn’t seem to be any concern for the gelding, so expect another honest effort here.

Race 3: Sportsbet BlackBook Handicap 2100m – 1:35pm AEST
(4) Realika has raced twice this campaign for trainer Greg Eurell. She was second at Caulfield Heath and that was a terrific performance behind Cardi Bee. She then finished sixth in a Benchmark 66 Handicap when getting too far back and racing the widest in the home straight. She still found the line strongly at the end of the mile. Stepping up to 2100m looks suitable as she has won over course and distance before.
(2) Oak Beach had a trainer change prior to her last-start fourth at Pakenham. It was a good performance for Anthony and Sam Freedman. She will carry 59.5kg which is a potential query over the 2100m journey in the small field. Her class should see her run a strong race.
(3) Foire De Trone represents Ciaron Maher and the mare has been extremely consistent if you excuse her last effort at Warrnambool where the heavy track appears to have got the better of her. If it’s wet, I would be avoiding her in this race as she has yet to place in three tries on heavy ground.

Belmont Racing Tips: Wednesday, June 3rd
Race 3: Lawn Pride Australia Mdn 1000m - 3:39pm AEST
(1) Busy Fingers is still chasing that elusive first career win and looks to have found a suitable maiden to do so. The four-year-old gelding is having his first run since November, where he ran fifth in a maiden. The horses that finished second through to fourth have all since won a race, so hopefully it is Busy Fingers’ turn. He sat outside the leader in a trial to win by 2.5 lengths under a hold. With William Pike aboard, he looks well placed here.
(3) Tigero’riley has finished seventh in both career runs but the effort wasn’t too bad at the latest at Northam back in October. Has had a trial in preparation for this and looks to have each-way claims in the race.
(6) Cawarra is a filly that hasn’t placed in nine runs. She is currently the second favourite which gives extra weight to my top pick who has placed three of six. Cawarra managed to finish fourth at her first run this prep, so she isn’t far away from that first podium finish.
