Roosters vs Broncos Prediction & Betting Tips: NRLW Grand Final
Their closest game yet
The Roosters kept their undefeated season going with a narrow 17-16 victory over the Sharks. Expected to dominate, the home side had to work hard for the result; it’s the most they have been pushed this season and the perfect preparation for this match. Leading 10-6 at HT, the Roosters were determined in the second half and despite conceding more tries than they scored, iced the game with a FG with less than 5 minutes remaining. Despite dominating possession (52%), their completion rate was again poor (72%); this has been the case all season but they’re yet to pay for their shortcomings in this area. They combatted this with 9.7m per carry, 664 PCM’s and 6 line breaks. Their defence was poor though, missing 50 tackles.
Far too strong and dominant
The Broncos had a far easier time in their 30-6 match against the Knights, but they too had to work hard for a winning result. The score suggests it was easier than it looked; they established the victory off a strong first half and lead 24-6 at HT. They too had a horrible completion rate (56%) but were dominant elsewhere making 10.6m per carry, 5 line breaks and missing 30 tackles. There isn’t much between these two sides at the end of a long campaign and their performances to qualify for the Grand Final suggests as much.
Stats that matter
- These two sides have met 11 times with the Roosters winning 5 and the Broncos 6. The Roosters won their Round 3 match in Brisbane 30-26, with goal kicking the difference on the day as they both scored 5 tries.
- The Roosters will be dreading the trip to this ground. They have just a 25% record here from 4 attempts. The Broncos have no issues, winning all 4 matches at this ground.
- The Broncos attack has been the most dominant in the competition’s history. They’ve average 36ppg, ahead of a very good Roosters attack that averages 31ppg. The Broncos are also slightly stronger defensive, conceding 10ppg compared to the Roosters 11ppg.
Does it have to end like this?
For one team, it unfortunately does. Since these sides met back in Round 3, both have been dominant. Had the Roosters not lost Aiken and have Hall racing the clock to be fit, they would be a better chance of winning. There are no such issues at the Broncos will all players fit an available. This places them in a strong position to end the undefeated run of the Roosters. They have a strong set of forwards an exciting outside backs; the Roosters also have a strong set of players but there is no doubt that they are vulnerable given their current circumstances. If the Broncos replicate their struggles with their completion rate that has plagued them this season, the Roosters have the quality to capitalise and use it to their advantage. Both sides will want to improve on their missed tackle statistics. If this game is played true to form, the Broncos should account for the line and win this match. Then again, the NRLW has hardly gone to plan this season and in a decider, anything is possible so, keep your stake lower than you usually would.

Leg 1 = Total Points Over 43.5 – just look at their most recent match against one another and their season averages throughout 2025.
Leg 2 = Upton to score – she has been at her dominant best this year and recently, has scored 11 tries in her past 5 matches. Look for her again to be looming as a threat around the ball, capable of scoring from anywhere on the field.
Leg 3 = Sergis to score – things haven’t gone to plan for the Roosters key attacking weapon this season, but one thing is for sure, she will be up for this contest. Always dangerous, she is a key member of this team that will want to lead with action at every possible opportunity.
