Racing returns to Happy Valley for another great Wednesday night program. I’m keen on a few runners who have presented as great value in my opinion. My insights and betting strategy for the card are available below. As always, good luck if you’re jumping on!
Happy Valley Racing Tips – Wednesday, May 24th 2023
Race 3: Hyacinth Handicap – 9:45pm (AEST)
(1) Gang Of Brothers should get a great chance to continue his winning form here from the front. There’s very little pace on which should suit this horse massively.
(12) Cordyceps One will be the obvious danger camping behind the speed with the light weight. He’s up in grade so has his work cut out for him but with a good run he can win.
(4) Diamond Diamond is a 2nd starter for Zac Purton and needs to be kept safe. Might be happening all too quickly for the horse but he may improve sharply.

Race 5: Hyacinth Handicap – 10:45pm (AEST)
(5) Beauty Mission deserves a win. He’s run well his last 2 starts under Matthew Chadwick and can do so again this time. Happy For All is drawn wide and the race looks to have a long tail to it.
(12) Lifeline Vision may threaten from the gun draw. Was impressive from a wide barrier last start and if that didn’t take too much out of him he should fire again here.
(1) Happy For All sneaks in to the numbers albeit on a minor line due to his wide draw. He’d be a great winning chance if drawn more favourably but it’s always difficult to win from out there.
(5) Beauty Mission – e/w

Race 8: Snapdragon Handicap – 12:15am (AEST)
(3) Magniac can win again after a 2L victory last start in this grade. Zac Purton remains aboard and can get the job done from gate 8.
(10) A Americ Te Specso finally won again last time and earned a position up in class here with the light weight. Gate 2 will help and Hamelin remains aboard.
(4) Smart Idea returns here and at his best is capable of winning in this grade. Gate 1 suits and the horse typically runs well fresh.
