What an exciting match up for the opening Monday Night Football game. Washington Redskins host NFC rivals the Philadelphia Eagles.
Philadelphia have replaced head coach Andy Reid with former College Football coach Chip Kelly ( Oregon Ducks ). The big question is , will Chip Kelly's up-tempo/option-style football be effective in the NFL? He probably has the right QB hybrid in Michael Vick to test it out anyhow.
Philadelphia have a solid offensive line, talented QB and possibly a game changing coach but alot of problems on defense.
A weak defense + RGIII = Trouble
Rookie of the year Robert Griffen III looks like the most drivin athlete on the planet.
Coach Mike Shanahan has said he will start after some speculation he wouldnt be ready in time, after tearing his ACL in the wild card game last season. Washington seem to be building on everything. They were number one in rushing yards last season with both rookies RG3 and Alfred Morris set for another huge year. The Eagles' defense will not contain these guys for an entire game!
