Royal Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, February 7th 2026
Race 5: Inglis Classic Yearling Sale BM78 1200m - 2:50pm (AEDT)
(3) Polyglot: 4YO gelding who was ultra consistent last time out competing in tough races without collecting. Has gone for a 14 week spell and will only be improving this time out. Fresh record is good, draws a gate and J-Mac remains in the saddle. Will have admirers.
(4) Oakfield Jupiter: Roughie of the field who looks over the odds for my liking. She is flying with 4 wins from the 5 career starts. She rates nicely and her only defeat was in listed grade. Aaron BULLOCK reunites who is 2 from 2 and if she can overcome the sticky draw she has to be considered. Happy to have a nibble at the price here.
(7) Monte Veebee: 4YO gelding who has been in the quinella 7 times from his 10 career starts. First up run was very good over 1250m at Newcastle, albeit drifting late in the market. Deserves to be favourite and will be in this for a long way.
(4) Oakfield Jupiter E/W
$15/$3.80 (0.5U/1.5U)
Race 8: Kia Ora Eskimo Prince Stakes 1200m - 4:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Rivellino: The roughie of the field who was very good in his early racing career and then has bene sound in some tough races. Expecting him to only further improve now and gets Jason Collett back on-board boosting confidence. Blow out hope.
(3) Tempted: 3YO Filly who looks awfully hard to beat here. She was elite last prep and finished third in the Everest only 1.3L behind Ka Ying Rising. Will only be improving and rates very well for this fist up assignment. The one they all have to beat.
(5) Wodeton: 3YO Colt who is a talented type but can find it tough to win and will be in a few sack files after being well backed in most of his starts and not winning. He has returned nicely with two trials and didn’t appear to be overly worked. Goes well fresh and J-Mac steers. At an each way price he is worth a nibble.
(3) Tempted Win
$1.70 (5 Units)
Race 9: Inglis Digital Feb Late Sale 19-24 Hcp 1600m - 5:15pm (AEDT)
(1) Travolta: Resuming 5YO gelding who is 50% strike rate when fresh and is not out of this at odds. Draws a nice alley and goes well at the track. Yet to score over 1600m but wouldn’t right him off. Blow out hope
(7) West Of Africa: 6YO gelding who has been sound in his three return runs and luckless most recently in the magic Millions Cup. Importantly he gets J-Mac back on top who is 3 from 4 when steering and the rise to 1600m now looks ideal fourth up. Sticky gate, but J-Mac knows what he is doing. He looks ready to fire now and happy to be on at a nice price. Value play
(8) Thunderlips: 5Yo gelding who was brave in defeat last time out behind Sandpaper who he meets again here but meets him better at the weights this time and looks ready to peak now fourth up. Likely to settle on pace and will be hitting the line strongly. Value.
(7) West of Africa E/W
$6.50/$2.25 (1U/2U)
