Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, February 14th 2026
Race 5: Wellington Racing Club Trophy BM88 1600m - 2:40pm (AEDT)
(9) It’s a Knockout: We were keen on her last start at the Gold Coast where she attracted solid market support, but a wide run throughout proved costly. Returns to Randwick now where she profiles much better, strips fitter second-up, and maps to enjoy a far kinder run from a favourable draw. The booking of Tim Clark — who has enjoyed prior success aboard — is another positive. Rates well at the price and shapes as a genuine value contender.
(10) Cross Tasman: Deserving favourite who has put together an excellent campaign, recording three wins and a placing from his past four starts. Just edged out last time over 1500m, with a slow recovery offering a legitimate excuse. The step to the mile presents the only minor query, but his overall form is strong enough to suggest he will take plenty of holding out. Clear major player.

Race 7: Asahi Super Dry Expressway Stakes 1200m Group 2 – 3:50pm (AEDT)
(1) Angel Capital: High-class 4YO who resumes here with an unbeaten first-up record, a strong positive in a race of this quality. Faces the challenge of conceding weight to several talented rivals, but his raw ability more than compensates. Draws to receive the right run and if he produces his best, he is more than capable of measuring up. Major contender.
(3) Joliestar: Popular and talented mare who returns to the races in ideal conditions. Boasts an excellent fresh profile, a proven record at the track and trip, and maps to enjoy a favourable run from the draw. The engagement of J-Mac is a significant push, and the early market support ($3 into $2.50) signals strong confidence. Clear top selection.
(4) Lady Shenandoah: Consistent, classy mare who seldom runs poorly and appeals strongly first-up. Draws to get a soft run, with Nash Rawiller taking the reins for the first time, and the smaller field should help her avoid the traffic issues that have troubled her in the past. Brings the right form profile to be highly competitive and must be respected.

Race 9: Robrick Lodge Triscay Stakes 1200m Group 2 – 5:10pm (AEDT)
(2) Manaal: 4YO Mare who resumes today and was terrific last campaign winning 2 x group 2s including one over this trip. She has a good record over this track and trip, proven first up and rates nicely for this. Happy to have a play at the price.
(4) Weeping Woman: 5YO Mare who is the favourite here and is chasing four consecutive wins. Has had a short break but trailed twice leading back into this. Good fourth up record, good record over this trip and will have plenty of admirers. The one to beat.
(8) Countyourblessings: 5YO Mare who looks the roughie of the field. She has been competitive of late and keeps Zac Lloyd in the saddle. Draws a nice alley and gets in light. Blow out hope.
