Black Caviar Lightning Stakes Day awaits punters on Saturday as eight high class sprinters take to the track at Flemington. The main race starts at 4:10pm (AEDT) and Tentyris is the $2.50 favourite and he has proven to be a Group winner.
Black Caviar was a fantastic mare who won 25 races in a row. The C.S. Hayes Stakes (Group 3) is another highlight on the program and SIxties is the $2.10 favourite in that race.
Race one starts at 12:05pm (AEDT) and gallopers will be racing on a Good 4 track during the program. My three best bets of the day are below!

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, February 13th 2026
Race 3: Desirable Stakes 1400m - 1:10pm (AEDT)
(2) Sass Appeal is a classy filly who races well on Dry tracks and she was very impressive winning last start at Flemington over 1400m. On that occasion she was fav and settled handy to the speed and proved too strong for her rivals over the final 100m. She is fitter than most of her rivals and being a proven Flemington winner is a bonus.
(1) Ole Dancer is on the fresh side and will be better with the run but is good enough to win first up. Group 1 Guineas winner at Caulfield last year and this horse is versatile and can settle in most areas.
(3) Custom hasn’t won on a Dry track in five attempts which is a slight concern. He was 4th at Caulfield first up and will be fitter after that effort.
(2) Sass Appeal WIN
$2.20 (4 units)
Race 5: The Schweppes Plate 1200m - 2:20pm (AEDT)
(7) Rue De Royale had no luck last start when I was on another gets another chance here. He was slow out last start at Caulfield and then caught wide and then caught in traffic up the top of the home straight. Melbourne Cup winning jockey Jamie Melham has been appointed on top and she should get a good run from barrier 2. Proven placegetter in Group company and will be there when the whips are cracking again.
(4) Ndola loves racing on Good tracks and has won on four occasions. Will get back in the pack but will be one of the best late.
(6) Modown drops 3.5kg in weight and he might enjoy being drawn out a bit wider in 9. He had barrier 1 at Geelong last start when running a Good 4th but didn’t get much room.
(7) Rue De Royale WIN
$2.80 (2 units)
Race 8: Black Caviar Black Lightning Stake GROUP 1 1000m - 4:10pm (AEDT)
(1) Giga Kick is resuming and is reportedly flying again in trackwork. Winner of 9 from 19 starts and the champion proven Group 1 winner is well in contention again. Ethan Brown is on fire and he rides for the first time and he should be able to get to settle midfield from barrier 6. He has won 3 from 5 races at Flemington and he loves racing up the straight. Pretty confident he runs top 3 here so an Each-Way play with a little more the Place is the go.
(4) Tentyris loves Flemington and he stormed home at the track in the Coolmore Stud when winning in the Spring. Damien Lane has only been on once for a second and will be keen to salute and stay on top.
(7) My Gladiola is resuming and Jamie Mott is on top and he has a great record on him. He is 1 from 1 over this distance and getting beaten when $1.90 last start before his spell, he will have no doubters in this because of his consistent record to date.
(1) Giga Kick Each-Way
$4.60/$1.55 (1u/2u)
