Rosehill hosts an exciting ten-race meeting on Saturday headlined by the Group 2 Expressway Stakes where Golden Mile takes on the older horses. There’ll be plenty of action throughout the day and our best bets below should help you navigate your way through it all.

Race 3
(4) Resonator should lead this race quite easily for Tim Clark. It took a couple of promising horses to run him down 2 starts ago and he was short in the market for the magic millions rising stars race last time. Price on offer looks generous.
(2) Cosmic Minerva looks like a strong chance here after closing off with good determination in his last 2 runs. He’s drawn well and should handle the slight rise in trip. Price may be slightly unders.
(9) Daytona was close to the mark of Resonator in his last 2 attempts so although Resonator sets up more ideally in this race, there shouldn’t be much between them again.

Race 4
(2) Thalassophile finds a fairly winnable race on paper. James Mcdonald is a huge positive and a narrow 2nd placing to Deny Knowledge in the Belle Of The Turf 2 starts ago reads quite well. There are plenty of question marks around most of her competition in this race.
(4) Secret Glamour would be a big danger in this race if she was at her recent best. She flopped last start in bm88 company and was ordered to trial since performing just ok there too. Hard to tell where she’s at but can’t trust her to be at her best.
(6) Tip Of The Spear could also be a big danger in the race but is difficult to trust off just one Australian race since being imported from Europe.
(2) Thalassophile

Race 7
(10) Spacewalk was given no hope by Tyler Schiller last time when buried behind a wall of horses for most of the home straight. 3rd to Mariamia and Midwest in that race is still respectable but considering this horse should’ve won that he can easily put this field away with even luck.
(2) Kalino is going for a hat trick of wins to kick off his prep but will find it tough up in class with 59.5kg to carry. Gate 1 and James Mcdonald should help to offset that but this is a tough race for him.
(1) Mystery Shot is first up here and has a decent record when resuming. He’s drawn well and has multiple listed placings to his name so should be capable of performing well here. One for exotics.
(10) Spacewalk

Race 8
(9) Golden Mile will put this field to bed if anywhere near his best! Close 4th place getter behind Jacquinot and In Secret in the Golden Rose, winner of the Caulfield Guineas and Stan Fox and taking on the older horses with less weight on his back here.
(3) Pizarro is fairly consistent over this trip and hasn’t missed the placings in what feels like forever. Expecting that to continue here and this horse to be in the finish.
(2) Much Much Better is the type of horse that can never be ruled out. This is a tough task for him but he can run well with fitness on his side now.
