Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, October 11th 2025
Race 1: Tab Highway Hcp Class 3 1500m - 12:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Peninsula: 4YO gelding who is building a solid profile, having strung together two impressive wins before just peaking on his run third-up. Bounced back last start with a strong runner-up effort, suggesting he’s right back on track. With fitness now at its peak and the right run in transit, he looks a genuine each-way hope.
(5) Poisen Point: 4YO mare who boasts a handy CV and was ultra-impressive scoring last start, putting her rivals away with authority. She’s a mare trending the right way and looks more than capable of going right on with it now.
(13) Fan Harder: 4YO gelding who has made a strong start to his career, winning two of his three outings and losing no admirers with a solid effort last start when not beaten far. He gets in well at the weights with the 2kg claim and maps to get every chance from a favourable draw. Expecting him to bounce back strongly and be right in the finish.
TIP: NO BET
Race 2: Midway BM72 1400m - 1:10pm (AEDT)
(1) Alabama State: 4YO gelding who was terrific when resuming over 1300m in BM72 company, hitting the line with plenty of purpose. He sticks to the same grade here but steps out to 1400m — a trip he’s unbeaten at (1 from 1). With a top jockey back in the saddle, who has previously tasted success aboard him, he looks well placed to go one better second-up
(5) Modella: 4YO mare who takes a significant drop in class after finishing just 3L off the winners in open company — a strong form reference given the quality of that field. Now third-up and fitter again, she finds a much more suitable assignment and looks primed to strike.
(12) Strawberry Impact: Consistent 4YO gelding who continues to race in great heart, finishing runner-up at his past two outings. He’s an honest and genuine type who always gives his all, and with early market support suggesting confidence from the stable, he looks ready to break through.
TIP: NO BET
Race 3: Captivant @ Kia Ora BM88 - 1:45pm (AEDT)
(2) Gods Window: 5YO gelding who has attracted strong early support in betting, firming from $11 into $6.50 — a clear sign of confidence. Strips fitter third-up and looks much better suited getting back onto a soft track. With conditions in his favour, he’s one to keep very safe.
(3) Pocketing: 4YO gelding who was a real favourite with punters last campaign, stringing together a couple of smart wins in style. While he hasn’t quite hit those heights this prep, he’s the type that improves deeper into a campaign. Expecting further fitness and confidence to bring him on — worth another look at the price.
(6) Vega Magnifico: 7YO gelding who showed his class earlier in the prep, running a strong second over the mile before backing it up with a stylish win over 2000m. While he’s finished midfield in his last couple, he hasn’t been far away and continues to race honestly. Back to a suitable trip and with even luck, he’s right in the mix.
TIP: NO BET
Race 4: Canadian Club Roman Consul Stakes 1200m - 2:20pm (AEDT)
(1) Beadman: 3YO colt who opened at $2.60 but has drifted slightly to $3.70 in early markets. He was solid last start when finishing third behind the favourite, just tiring late. Admittedly meets that runner worse off at the weights this time, which makes things tougher, but if the track comes up soft and he can roll along and pinch a few cheap sectionals, he’s capable of turning the tables.
(8) Marhoona: Golden Slipper-winning filly who returned in brilliant fashion, dominating her rivals first-up over 1100m and powering through the line to score comfortably. She faces a similar field here and looks ideally placed under set weights, getting in lighter than most. Classy, fit, and proven — very hard to beat. Best bet.
(8) Marhoona WIN
$2.00 (5 Units)
Race 5: Schweppes Tapp-Craig 1400m - 2:55pm (AEDT)
(1) Esterno: 3YO colt was impressive last start, getting the chocolates in the Guineas Prelude with authority. Continues to progress with each run and deserves plenty of respect stepping up again here. Has to be considered.
(2) Farnicle: 3YO colt who was strong through the line in the Heritage Stakes over 1100m and looks ideally suited stepping out to 1400m now. Strips fitter third-up, and with Tim Clark teaming up with the Waterhouse & Bott stable from a low draw, there’s plenty to like. Early market support only adds confidence — hard to overlook.
(6) Ohope: Consistent 3YO colt who has been right around the mark in all three runs this prep and looks perfectly placed stepping up in trip fourth-up. Honest, tough, and improving each start — a genuine each-way player
(2) Farnicle WIN
$2.80 (3 Units)
Race 6: Drinkewise Gloaming Stakes 1800m - 3:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Highvol: 3YO gelding who has been racing consistently in strong company and continues to hold his form well. He’s rock-hard fit now and maps to get his chance again. At big odds, he’s more than capable of running a cheeky race and playing a role in the finish.
(7) Shangri La Boy: 3YO colt who was terrific second-up, putting his rivals away with authority to score by 2.5 lengths. He’s a colt clearly on the rise and looks to have plenty of upside. With even luck in running, he’s a definite winning chance.
*SCRATCHED* (14) Within The Law: Talented filly who hasn’t had much luck this prep with wide barriers, and she cops another here, but finds a far easier assignment. The rise to 1800m looks ideal after chasing gamely behind the talented Apocalyptic over the mile last start. Under set weights, she looks the one to beat — and if Jason Collett can find the right run early, she’ll be very hard to hold out.
Race 7: The Nivision 1200m - 4:10pm (AEDT)
(1) Infancy: 5YO mare who is one that always commands respect when fresh. She’s trialled up nicely in preparation for this and did win impressively when resuming last campaign. Expect her to run a bold race first-up — a genuine roughie with upside.
(3) In Flight: Honest mare who continues to race in terrific form, having notched up a few smart victories in recent starts. This looks a touch easier than her last assignment, and she’s been given a short freshen with a sharp trial in between. Draws to get the right run and will be storming home late.
(6) Gangsta Granny: 4YO mare who is an emerging talent who continues to impress with each run. She had genuine excuses last start after being trapped three wide throughout yet still fought on gamely to finish close up. With a more economical run from a handy draw, she looks ready to bounce back and will have plenty of admirers once again.
(3) In Flight WIN
$5.00 (1 Unit)
Race 8: Toyota Forklifts Hill Stakes 1900m - 4:40pm (AEDT)
(1) Light Infantry Man: Rates nicely and looks set to fire third-up. He’s building into this prep well and shapes as a strong contender. At the price, he’s very much worth being on, especially compared to the favourite.
(2) Lindermann: Has been in terrific form lately, leading and winning the Chelmsford second-up before only being narrowly beaten by the talented Fangirl most recently. He’s racing exceptionally well, though the sticky draw is a minor concern. If he can get a clean run, he’s right in it.
(10) Kingswood: Finished strongly at Flemington last start, chasing home the Group 1 winner Golden Path. Improves second-up and looks capable of playing a key role in the finish.
(10) Kingswood E/W
$11/$2.80 (0.5U/1.5U)
Race 9: Alan Brown Stakes 1400m - 5:25pm (AEDT)
(1) Gringotts: Looks the horse with the strongest credentials in the field, though lugging top weight is the main concern. Last start he ran a solid Group 1 race, finishing just 2.5 lengths behind Via Sistina. Expected to improve and he has a fantastic record over this trip. A solid each-way option.
(7) Osipenko: The roughie of the field. Has been very consistent in his last two starts against good company and boasts an excellent record at this track. Third-up and in peak condition, he must be considered. Any rain would only enhance his chances — a genuine blow-out hope.
(12) Miss Roumbini: Sensational in her first two returns. Most recently, she was last on the corner and barely in contention down the straight, but flew home to finish second behind Sepals, today’s favourite in Victoria. Third-up and primed to win, her late sectionals have been nothing short of electric.
(12) Miss Roumbini WIN
$4.00 (1.5 Units)
Race 10: Rosehill Bowling Club BM78 1100m - 6:05pm (AEDT)
(1) Amazing Eagle: Lightly raced but ultra-consistent, finishing in the placings in all five starts. Boasts strong first-up form and draws nicely. Will be very hard to catch if allowed to dictate.
(3) Roselyns Star: Resumed with an impressive trial before running well in his last start, hitting the front and looming as the winner before being nailed on the line. Strips fitter here and will have admirers.
TIP: NO BET
