Horse Racing Tips

Caulfield will host Saturday racing in the state of Victoria this weekend with the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes being the highlight. Running over 1200m, Cosmic Crusader will start favourite and prove hard to beat. Gallopers are predicted to run on a Soft6 surface with the first of nine races starting at 12:10pm (AEST).

Our three best bets and Quaddie selections are below. Good luck to everyone following along!

Caulfield Racing Tips: Saturday, July 25th 2026

Race 1: Sportsbet FIxed Odds Handicap 1200m - 12:10pm (AEST)

(3) Custom was beaten by his stablemate when he resumed at Caulfield but he was poorly away on that occasion (2nd). If he can jump better this time he should be able to settle in the top four and with more fitness on his side now he should prove hard to beat. Has only won 1 from 10 starts but he has raced in some handy races during his career. Jabez Johnstone has been riding well and he gets the claim.

(1) Takeko is a 1200m specialist who won a trial at her latest hitout at Caulfield Heath. She usually races on pace and should be better for her second look at the track.

(7) Mystery ‘N’ Drama is resuming and may need the mile. From barrier 10 she might get back though and run on well.

(3) Custom - WIN

$2.80 (2 Units)

Race 3: Sportsbet Caulfield Cup Carnival Hospitality Handicap 1100m - 1:20pm (AEST)

(2) Tennessee Bound is unbeaten for the Maher stable and should win again. She has drawn the inside barrier and she might be able to get an easy lead as there are three backmarker in the race. She gets more weight relief here and her only start on the Soft she won by 1.75L after settling behind the leader, so even if she doesn’t lead she can settle behind the leader again. The only real worry is that not many racehorses win their first 5 races let alone their first 6.

(1) Salsa Fallow is in good form and gets an easier race here compared to last start when 4th. The problem though is he has to carry more weight so from barrier 3 will look to get an economical run.

(5) Lunca Cat usually settles in the back half of the field but can run on into 3rd or 4th. She is usually hard to catch but is racing very consistently of late. Has only won 1 from 13 starts at Caulfield but does go well over the 1100m. Craig WIlliams is on for the first time.

(2) Tennessee Bound - WIN

$1.45 (5 Units)

Race 5: Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap 1600m - 2:30pm (AEST)

(9) First Chorus can win again I reckon with Luke Cartwright on. He gets the 1.5kg claim which will assist and from barrier 6 I think he will position up in about 2nd or 3rd. A damp track helps and when he did lose in June he was unlucky on both occasions. She is in good form for Lindsay Smith and her recent form has been good enough to win this despite a slight class rise.

(5) Safall will settle midfield and will need luck I reckon. She is going well though and has a very good career winning stroke rate of 30 percent. Gets 2 more kilograms in weight to deal with but gets WIllow.

(3) Magnaspin should be the leader in this race.FItter now but has never won when third up previously. Current odds of $11.00 looks too high. Apprentice Holly Durnan is on and it will be an experience for her to be on a natural leader.

(9) First Chorus - WIN

$2.70 (2 Units)
