ESports Betting Tips: Tuesday, June 8th
Sprout vs Izako Boars
ESEA Premier Season 37 Europe
Sprout are priced as the betting favourites for this match, which is fair as they are the better team, individually and tactics-wise. Sadly that doesn't really mean much in the online era of CSGO, where upsets are very common.
On a more positive note, the Germans will face a side that is struggling against the likes of PACT and Illuminar, so they should feel confident in their ability to secure an easy win.
These two last met about four months ago during the first season of Snow Sweet Snow. Izako Boars stunned Sprout and won the match with 22-19 on Train and 16-14 on Inferno. However, I don't believe they will be as successful the second time out.
Even though neither team is in great form, Sprout should have a reasonably easy time grabbing the win. They have been playing tough opponents of late, including Complexity, Gambit, Sinners, and FPX, so they should do well against a weaker side such as Izako Boars.
Don't expect an exciting match here. There won't be any high-profile players nor incredible firepower on display. Sprout should be able to grind this one out in two maps! Sprout to win 2-0!
Sinners Esports vs Sangal
ESEA Premier Season 37 Europe
Sinners Esports enter this match off an impressive 2-0 victory against Sprout. However, they have been previously losing against significantly weaker sides, including tcc – a no-name semi-pro team.
Sinners are considered as the betting favourites for their match with Sangan Esports. They are priced around 1.40, which overrates them quite a bit. While Sinners aren't a terrible team, they lack experience and can be somewhat inconsistent.
If Tomáš 'oskar' Šťastný and Adam 'NEOFRAG' Zouhar go off, yeah, Sinners will probably win, but if that doesn't happen, we are in for a close and entertaining match that could go either way.
Sinners last met with Sangal about two months ago at European Development Championship 3, when Sinners edged out a 2-1 victory. They were down 0-1 after the series opener on Inferno (11-16), but struck back with 16-4 on Vertigo and 19-16 OT on Nuke.
I expect another close affair here; 2-1 for Sinners seems like the most likely result. I was considering a bet on Sangal to finally get the better of Sinners here, but they recently lost Ekrem 'l0gicman' Aydin, so that made me switch to Sinners.
Movistar Riders vs GamerLegion
ESEA Premier Season 37 Europe
This one definitely has the potential to be an incredibly close affair.
Even though Movistar Riders field a player that should be playing in a tier 1 team, they consistently fail to produce anything meaningful in their games. They're 1-5 in their last six and were on a five-game losing streak prior to their victory over Sangal last week.
During that stretch, Movistar Riders lost against LDLC, AGO, forZe and twice against Sinners. These are not exactly bad teams, but when you have a tier 1 AWPer on the roster, you should be a little more competitive than that.
GamerLegion, on the other end, lost just one match in the last five, 1-2 against Endpoint. But it is worth noting that they enter this match after a 2-0 victory over Endpoint, which shows how crazy this online era of CSGO really is.
If Owen 'smooya' Butterfield shows up, this could be an exciting affair. If not, GamerLegion should come out ahead, and from what have we seen in recent weeks, there is definitely value on the GL. Bet on GamerLegion to win 2-1!
