Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, July 7th
Apeks vs Winstrike
ESEA Advanced Season 34 Europe
Apeks are coming into the match with only one loss in the last five matches against the ex-SMASH, while they managed to defeat ALTERNATE aTTaX, lvlUP and twice Nemiga. So far Apeks have played only two matches at the ESEA Advanced Season 34 Europe, where they won against lvlUP, but forfeited their second match against Ambush.
Winstrike are entering this bout in a way worse form than Apeks. They have won only two out of the last five matches against Tenerife Titans and Hard Legion, but lost to Nexus, Nemiga and Espada. Winstrike started this online era of CS with an impressive performance at RtR, but have since slowed down immensely and are now on a 2-7 run.
Apeks are not exactly a strong team with their 40% win rate against tier2 and tier 3 teams, while Winstrike's 50% WR is not that much better, but since Winstrike finished second at the ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS, I view them at least somewhat decent. Having said that, their poor performances since RtR don't convince me and it seems like Winstrike are just not trying as hard anymore.
I don’t believe we are in for a competitive match as I highly doubt these two teams really care about this competition, so the best bet to take here is for the series to finish with under 2.50 maps played!
Nexus vs TheDice
ESEA Advanced Season 34 Europe
Nexus have played only eight matches in the last three months and have managed to win against their local rivals JackBoys and LF Org. They also took down Winstrike and twice HellRaisers, but fell short against sAw, AVEZ and AGF. Those matches, however, were close so I believe those losses are not all too bad.
Djoko has played less than five matches with the core of TheDice which concerns me. To make matters worse, TheDice hold a 33% win rate across the past three months, which makes me wonder whether it's even worth considering betting on them. Even though TheDice played only six games this year, they lost to Ambush and barely defeated Apologis and lvlUP, which, again is not too promising.
Nexus seem to be in a similar situation than TheDice, however, they at least took down HellRaisers and Winstrike, which is not a small feat for a new team. If Nexus can show the same level of quality as they did against HellRaisers and Winstrike here, I have no doubt they will win this one without losing a single map.
EHOME vs Royal Never Give Up
OGA Dota PIT Season 2: China
EHOME and Royal Never Give Up met eight times this year and RNG won six games, which instantly makes them the better team in these H2H bouts, however, we can’t look past the fact that EHOME won two out of the last three meetings.
At the DPL-CDA League S1 in April, EHOME won 2-0, whereas these two Chinese Dota2 teams split one match apiece at the OGA Dota PIT S1: CN in May, with RNG winning one bout 2-0 and EHOME winning the most recent one 2-1.
As talked about before, RNG have become very inconsistent with their showings since Dota2 scene transitioned to online play. Although they still manage to pick up a few wins here and there, it's often very hard to know what to expect from RNG. In their last five, RNG won only two against Aster and Sparking Arrow Gaming, but lost to IG and twice to CDEC.
EHOME, on the other side are 4-1 in their last five, which includes wins against CDEC, PSG.LGD, ViCi and IG, and one loss against PSG.LGD. Those results are far more valuable to what RNG have shown, so I don't see how EHOME are priced as underdogs here. Bet on EHOME!
