Esports Betting Tips: Sunday, May 10th
GODSENT vs Movistar Riders
ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe
GODSENT have exceeded all the expectations with their performances at RtR, where they are currently sitting at the third place in Group B. They have won four matches out of six played against Copenhagen Flames, North, c0ntact and mousesports, while they have only lost to the two strongest teams in the league - Faze Clan and G2. Movistar Riders started their journey into RtR with two wins against mousesports and c0ntact, but have since lost their momentum and dropped matches against Faze Clan, G2, Copenhagen Flames and North, without winning a single map! They are also active in the BLAST Rising 2020, where they raked in three wins against Japaleno, FAZE and Apeks, so not everything is as grim as it seems.
I see no reason to have GODSENT priced as low as they are right now. Both of these teams are of similar quality and if the online CS has taught us anything it's that everyone can beat anyone. The Riders are not nearly as bad as their recent odds might suggest and while GODSENT managed to defeat mousesports, they failed to convince us with their iffy performances against much weaker teams. Value bet on Movistar Riders to win!

G2 vs North
ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe
G2 and North have met only once so far, back in November 2019 at the ESL Pro League Season 10 Europe, where G2 edged out a narrow win. While G2 made no roster changes since then, the North team went through a massive rebranding, bringing back MSL and along with that a different kind of leadership, so it would not be fair to put too much emphasis on the result of a game that was played seven months ago.
North are coming into the match after a 2-0 win against Movistar Riders. It was not an impressive win per se, but considering they were forced to play with a coach, who hasn't played a professional match since the dawn of time and still came away without dropping a map is fairly impressive.
Looking at the upcoming match, G2 are the most likely winner, but I believe North are more than capable of putting up a solid resistance and make G2 work for the W. MSL and aizy look way better than people are giving them credit for, and if they can continue with their solid performances, North should push this series into three maps.
Pro100 vs Syman
ESL One: Road to Rio – CIS
The only reason Syman Gaming are coming into the match priced as favourites is because of their overachieving performance against Natus Vincere in their most recent match. Besides their fluke against Natus Vincere, pro100 have also won against Espada and lost against Hard Legion and Virtus.pro. I am not going to lie and pretend pro100 are a stronger team than Syman, but Syman at least they looked somewhat decent in their wins against Virtus.pro and Hard Legion, although they fell flat against Espada and Natus Vincere.
These two teams met only once before, at the StarSeries i-League Season 8 Europe Qualifies where pro100 came away with the spoils with a commanding 16-8 on Overpass and 16-7 on Mirage. I am not too keen on Syman and I don't believe this team has a bright future since they're fielding players from all over the world, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Belgium and Sweden, which does negatively affect their communication. While both teams have had their fair share of problems, pro100 looked way better in recent weeks and seeing them priced as underdogs, makes little to no sense to me, especially in an online match. Value bet on pro100!
Alliance vs Natus Vincere
WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1
After dropping the ball against VP.Prodigy (0-2) in the quarter-finals of WePlay! Pushka League, Alliance will seek redemption against Natus Vincere, who have lost against Team Secret and are now given one last chance to prove themselves.
Throughout the group stage, Natus Vincere looked very shaky and while they finished their group tied with Virtus.pro and VP.Prodigy, I have a hard time trusting a team that struggled against FTM (2-1), Team Spirit (2-1) and lost to HellRaisers (0-2). Alliance, on the other side, looked nearly unstoppable throughout the group stage, where they lost only one match, but even that came against Team Secret in their opening match of the league. Alliance, however, performed poorly in the quarter-finals, where they got stomped by VP.Prodigy.
Alliance and NaVi did not impress me with what they have shown in their quarter-finals fixtures, and although Alliance looked stronger in their group stage endeavour, I can't agree with the low odds offered on them. NaVi are not one of the teams I would bet on to win the tournament, nor make a deep run, but they should be more than capable of keeping Alliance on their toes and force a three-map series.
