Esports Betting Tips: CS:GO and Dota2 – Saturday, April 11th
Team Secret vs Chicken Fighters
ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS
There is only one question that needs to be answered here and it's not about which team will win, but rather what can Chicken Fighters do against one of the top-three teams in the world - Team Secret?
Looking back, Chicken Fighters put up a solid fight against Natus Vincere (1-2) and Ninjas in Pyjamas (1-2) and even picked up a win against Team Spirit (2-1) in round one of ESL One LA, which are solid results for this team. Unfortunately, their showings can hardly compare to Team Secret's perfect 6-0 run which they achieved with wins over Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas and most recently Natus Vincere. Clearly even the online format can't stop Secret, who seem to be set to complete the group stage with a perfect record and Chicken Fighters will most likely be just another number in their flawless run. Seeing Chicken Fighters pick up a map here is plausible, but it's not possible, so siding with Secret to pick up another 2-0 sweep is the best bet to take.
Team Liquid vs Team Spirit
ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Online: Europe & CIS
Another day, another chance for team Liquid to disappoint. With all due respect for the north American esports organisation, which has already earned its spot in Dota2 hall of fame, the current version of Team Liquid gives us no hope they will ever be as strong as this team used to be. What's more, their losses against Alliance (1-2) and most recently Team Unique (1-2) are really not something we expected to see, yet it at least paints a clear picture of how weak Liquid are at this tournament.
Team Spirit are not in a much better position and we would even argue Liquid boast with stronger players on their roster, but based on Team Spirit's showings this tournament, they seem to be equally strong or even stronger as Liquid. A 1-2 loss to Chicken Fighters, followed by a 2-1 win over Unique and most recently a 2-1 win over Alliance is miles better to what Liquid have shown so far. Still, Liquid are somehow priced as the favourites at 1.41, which is just not right. We can't deny Liquid can win here, but so can Spirit and at 2.75 on the outright market, siding with the underdogs to claim the spoils is a no-brainer pick for us. A bet on over 2.5 maps is also something to consider, as neither side managed to show enough for us to believe they can come away with a clean sweep.
Value: Team Spirit to win $2.03
Astralis vs mousesports
CS:GO ESL Pro League Season 11 Europe
Astralis and mousesports are set to lock horns in the ESL Pro League S11 Europe decider match, which will see the winners advance into the grand finals, while the losing side gets eliminated from the tournament. Astralis and mouz have played a total of five maps during the last five months, with mouz winning their first meeting at ESL Pro League S10 (2-1), while Astralis picked up a revenge win (2-0) just a couple of days ago in a commanding fashion, pocketing 16-1 win on Dust II and 16-3 on Inferno. With such a dominant win under their belt, Astralis are entering this bout with a psychological advantage, however, we have to consider Finn "karrigan" Andersen has quite an impressive record against his former teams, which suggests mouz are bound to put up a solid resistance.
Although mouz got humiliated just a couple of days ago, we don't expect to see the same result here. While Astralis might still walk away with a win, mousesports should be better prepared and pocket at least one map against the Danish squad, who in all fairness are not the same powerhouse they once were. Bet on mousesports to stay competitive and push the series into three maps.
FunPlus Phoenix vs Gen.G
CS:GO FLASHPOINT
FunPlus Phoenix had quite an underwhelming run through FLASHPOINT and it seems like they can only perform decently well against significantly weaker teams, but when it comes to facing slightly stronger opponents, they fall flat. This was clearly seen in their two consecutive 0-2 losses against MAD Lions, which raises the question of what can they produce against Gen.G, who have the raw firepower and experience to produce solid results, yet they still somehow drop games they should have won. Having said that, we must give Gen.G some slack, as they were a bit unlucky in their loss against Cloud9 (0-2), where they had a legitimate chance to win, but again, failed to do so.
Gen.G already beat FunPlus Phoenix' core back in January with a clean 2-0 sweep and considering they will be playing the exact same team here, it's hard to expect a different result. Despite Gen.G’s flashes of inconsistency throughout FLASHPOINT, they have now found themselves in a do-or-die position, which should inspire more efficient performance. Expect Gen.G to show their full might and finally prove to everyone what they're capable of. It is now or never for the Gen.G!
