IG.Vitality vs Matador
Moon Studio Mid-Autumn League 2020
Matador will be fighting for survival this Monday when they clash with iG.Vitality. A win here would earn Matador a spot in the playoffs, whereas a loss would mean they will have to face Aster-Aries in a tie-breaker.
For iG.Vitality, a win would put them in a very favourable position to lock in a fourth-place finish and while losing this bout can in theory result in an elimination, it's fair to say IG.Vitality are all but guaranteed to enter the playoffs.
Matador and iG.Vitality have never met before, meaning there is a world where iG.Vitality drop the ball since they don’t know what they’re up against to. Having said that, I did not see anything from Matador that would lead me to believe they field the needed quality players to deal with IG's academy team.
Since the formation of the team, Matador are 1-5-1, which is a similar record to what iG.Vitality have produced in their last seven games (1-6-0), however, we have to consider iG.Vitality played a stalemate with LBZS and defeated team black, which are far better results to what Matador have shown.
Ad Hoc Gaming vs EURONICS Gaming
Prime League Pro Division 2020 Grand Final
After fighting their way through the Play-In stage, Ad hoc Gaming and EURONICS Gaming are now set to take the long path to the grand finals through the losers' bracket of Prime League Pro Division 2020 Grand Final. The match will be played as best-of-five (BO5), meaning it's unlikely we are in for any massive upsets, however, at the same time, it also means the match will likely go in favour of the more consistent side.
On the topic of consistency, Ad hoc Gaming defeated both OP Innology (2-1) and BIG (2-1) in the Play-In stage, but have dropped the first map in both fixtures. EURONICS, meanwhile lost their opening match against BIG (0-2), took down OP Innology (2-1) and secure a commanding 3-0 revenge win against BIG to book a spot in the final stage of the competition.
EURONICS Gaming and Ad hoc Gaming met four times in 2020 and split their fixtures 2-2. While the H2H record might suggest these two teams are equally matched, EURONICS have won both of the last two series with Ad hoc, so I don't have a problem seeing EURONICS priced at shorter odds.
Despite their loss to BIG, EURONICS looked very strong in the Play-In stage, and if they can carry over the momentum to this bout, there is no reason to believe they can't extend their H2H record with Ad hoc to 3-2.
BIG vs G2
DreamHack Open Fall 2020
BIG and G2 Esports last met in September during the ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe, where BIG defeated G2 in a fairly straightforward 2-1 match, with 14-16 on Vertigo for G2, 16-11 on Dust and 16-4 on Nuke for BIG. Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz and Florian “syrsoN” Rische were playing on a whole another level compared to other players on the server and produced 1.28 and 1.22 HLTV rating respectively
At the same time, no other player on BIG ended the series with under 1.00 HLTV line which only goes to show the whole team stepped up. On the side of G2 Esports, only François “AmaNEk” Delaunay and Nemanja “huNter-“ Kovač were somewhat solid and ended the series with 1.13 and 1.11 HLTV rating respectively as well as over 50 frags. The rest of G2 struggled to cross the 1.00 HLTV line.
Looking at the H2H record between these two sides, G2 are leading with seven map wins to six, which is a rather marginal difference, so we are likely in for a close match. I, however, don’t believe G2 can win, especially since there are rumoured roster changes which won’t help the team’s morale. Still, they have enough firepower to win at least one map and force a three-map series. . Bet on Over 2.50 Maps.
