Call of Duty Pro League Week 4 Betting Tips
Luminosity vs Mindfreak (Wednesday 7am AEST)
Bit tough to find any value in Wednesday morning’s five game slate but we think there is a little to be found here in Australian team Mindfreak taking on Luminosity. Luminosity had a less than desireably start to their CWL Pro League campaign last week as they went 2-2 in their four opening matches.
Granted, they did take on Optic Gaming and Rise Nation, who will likely be the hardest two teams in the group, however, they were less than convincing against eUnited and another Australian team in Tainted Minds to an extent.
Mindfreak are the more experienced and more dangerous of the two Australian teams and while we think the game against LG will be a massive test for them, their opponents haven’t really been playing at their best since trading main AR player Octane to Optic Gaming for Formal. I wouldn’t recommend putting the kitchen sink on but I’ll definitely have a small bet on Mindfreak who I think have what it takes to cause an upset here.
Optic Gaming vs Rise Nation (Friday 8.30am AEST)
We have to wait until the very last game of Week 4 to see the best two teams in the pool go at it, but it should be worth the wait as Optic Gaming face off against Rise Nation from 8.30am on Friday. No odds for this match yet but I expect Rise to start as really slight favourites after having won both the CWL Atlanta and Seattle open this season so far.
It will be a grudge match of sorts for Optic Gaming member Methodz, who was released from Rise who then went on to pick up one of the best AR players in the game in SlasheR, giving them an extremely talented squad.
Since the transfer period closed, many think that Optic have ascended to the ranks of best team in the game with the additions of Methodz and Octane, but this test against Rise will be their biggest to date. Optic have looked fantastic in the rest of their competitive matches and scims since changing their roster and should be capable of earning a win over Rise here.
