Eels vs Raiders Predictions & Tips: NRL Round 15 2026
A dull, yet spirited performance
The Eels had plenty of excuses in their 14-12 defeat by the Bulldogs on Monday prior to the start of the match. Missing a host of key players, they were tough in trying to compete with their opponents and almost pulled off an upset victory. With the overall contest void of quality, the Eels completed at only 73% with 46% possession, averaged 8.8m per carry and made 507 PCM’s. Problem was that their opponents were slightly better in these areas. They created unnecessary pressure on their defence also, missing 54 tackles across 80 minutes, more than one tackle every opponents set. While able to excuse them in some areas, they must aim to improve in others, and this would be a great starting point should they wish to rise from the second-last position on the NRL ladder.

There is no other summary of the Raiders in their 26-0 home loss to the Roosters last week other than they were poor. Outplayed by a stronger team who appeared to desire the result more, the Raiders dropped to 14th on the ladder with that loss. With 49% possession, they completed at just 73%, made 8.1m per carry, and had only 1 line break over 80 minutes. They were worse defensively, missing 34 tackles, allowing 10.1m per carry and conceding 721 PCM’s. These statistics achieved by their opponents suggest that the attitude of the home team was poor. The effort was there, their consistency over 80 minutes was not.
Stats that matter
- The Raiders have won the past 4 games against the Eels but still only win 41% of matches at this venue. The Eels have a great record here, with a 61% strike rate.
- Blowout victories have been recorded in the past 5 games. Only once has the total been less than 24 points, with the average margin of victory at 27.8 points. The total points is somewhat low though in the same number of matches, with the average sitting at 51 points.
- It is surprising to see the Eels record a better attacking record than the Raiders, averaging 20ppg compared to their opponents 19ppg. The Raiders, while not great, are stronger defensively. They allow 26ppg compared to the Eels 32ppg.
Power defeats spirit
The consistency of naming the same Eels team as last week with give this squad confidence that they can again perform well. Unfortunately, their effort last week in reality, was against a sub-par team who is also struggling. Had it been against a stronger opponent, they wouldn’t have been as competitive as they were. The Raiders have this potential yet, are currently performing well below that standard. Their performance promise hope but with consistency evading them, they are failing to build pressure on their opponents when it matters. Enter the Eels. The Raiders will get their fair share of opportunities against an opponent like this but, they will also be made to work hard for victory. As many chances as they give, the Eels will be just as prepared to defend their line. With attacking weapons like Weekes, Sanders, and Starling still calling the shots, their strong forward pack should create a solid platform for them to provide their outside backs with ball in positive field position and ultimately, cover the line which is offered with ease.

Eels vs Raiders Same Game Multi
Leg 1 = Total points over 49.5 – see above for justification.
Leg 2 = Timoko to score – despite missing out in his last game against the Eels, Timoko still has 4 tries from as many matches against them. Strong on the edge, he will again be a threat from anywhere on the field and will want to take the defensive line on at any opportunity.
Leg 3 = Savage to score – there were glimpses of his lightning speed last week and Savage enjoys playing the Eels, with 3 tries from his past 4 matches against them. He also crossed the line in his only match at this ground.
