NBA Betting Tips Thursday 31st October
New York Knicks @ Orlando Magic (10am AEDT)
We kick things off with a play on the Eastern Conference match-up between the Knicks and the Magic in Orlando. The Knicks were inspired by Bobby Portis against his old team the Bulls last time out, getting their first win of the season in a solid performance. Despite the win, the Knicks are just 1-3 on the season and aren’t favoured to enjoy much success this season.
The Magic have gotten off to a slow start to their campaign with just one win from their three games. Their win came against the lowly Cavs, while their two losses were against the Hawks and the Raptors. The Magic are running it back with a similar roster to last season, which should see them win around 37-43 games in the weak Eastern Conference.
We favour a player line in this game with rookie RJ Barrett catching our eye. He was the #2 pick in last year’s draft and is getting all the minutes he can handle. He’s averaging 20.5 points and 7.5 rebounds on the season and should clear his points + rebounds line again on Thursday.

Portland Trail Blazers @ OKC Thunder (11am AEDT)
Second up we take a look at the Western Conference match-up between the Trail Blazers and the Thunder in Oklahoma City. The Blazers have split their four games so far and will be playing their fourth and final road game of this trip. All of their games have been decided by 10 points or less so far and all have been high-scoring affairs.
The Thunder come into this game at 1-3 after a tough start to the season. They’ve had a pretty tough schedule so far and have only put in one bad performance, which was a 12-point loss to the Wizards at home. Many expect the Thunder to be around the 35-40 win mark in stacked Western Conference, which will only be possible if they can defend home court.
We have to give the advantage to the home team here, especially when you consider the fatigue factor of the Blazers. Starting off the season with a four-game road trip is sure to take its toll and we expect the Thunder to be able to take advantage of the Blazers in the second half to claim the win.
Phoenix Suns @ Golden State Warriors (1:30pm AEDT)
Last but not least we’re keen on playing the Pacific Division game between the Suns and the Warriors. The Suns have been the great surprise packet of the season so far but only have two wins to show for it. They knocked off the Kings with ease in their season-opener and also took down the highly fancied Clippers, although one-point losses to both the Nuggets and Jazz mean they’re just 2-2 on the season.
The Warriors have been involved in three blowouts in their first three games this season. The first two were at their expense, but the third was a great performance where they defeated the inexperienced Pelicans with ease. The Warriors roster is so limited at the moment, so you can expect the up-and-down results to continue for the foreseeable future.
The Suns have given punters absolutely no reason to trust them this season. They’ve put in a fantastic 48-minute effort in all four of their games and if they can do that again on Thursday, then we see them beating the undermanned Warriors.
