Metropolitan racing will be conducted on the Pinjarra Scarpside track on Saturday with an eight-race card commencing at 12:34pm (2:34pm AEST). The track is currently a Soft 5 but could easily get worse with rain on Friday and Saturday. Check out our best bets below!

Pinjarra Scarpside Racing Tips: Saturday, May 31st 2025
Race 2: TABTOUCH SHARE MY BET HANDICAP (1000 METRES) – 1:09pm (3:09pm AEST)
(2) Let’s Talk has had three runs this preparation for two wins and a fifth at his most recent start. Prepared by Jim Taylor, the four-year-old gelding drops back to 1000m and barrier 10 looks suitable at the venue. Will race on speed, if not leading, and should be fighting out the finish as he drops back in grade.
(1) Prospector’s Pick looks a forgive run when running fourth behind Richanco on May 17. This will be a fortnight in between runs, and the Simon Miller-trained four-year-old gelding has won on a Soft track before. William Pike could stalk Let’s Talk in the run and is a deserved favourite in the current market. Should be a great contest down the straight.
(3) Lost Gravity is race fit and doesn’t mind a softer track with three top three finishes from six on Soft and a minor placing on a Heavy track. A winner two starts back at Albany over 1230m, Lost Gravity then finished fourth behind Sky Duke at Belmont.
(2) Let’s Talk WIN

Race 4: HYGAIN HANDICAP (2200 METRES) – 2:24pm (4:24pm AEST)
(1) Grand Reserve is a four-year-old son of Maschino, representing Dan Morton, and will be ridden by Brad Parnham who steered the gelding to victory last time over 2000m. He will clash with Beejay Boy once again, as the pair finished just a quarter of a length from one another at Pinjarra. A win and a second from two tries on Soft tracks should see Grand Reserve run a big race at a nice price. He is also one from two over the distance.
(3) Famous Dain is a model of consistency with the four-year-old gelding boasting three wins and seven minor placings from 16 career starts. He will appreciate plenty of give in the track with a pair of victories and a second from four attempts on Soft going. William Pike retains the ride, and the son of Cox Plate winner Shamus Award looks a very strong contender.
(7) Beejay Boy will be trying to turn the tables on Grand Reserve after a narrow second behind him last time out. Jess Valas jumps back aboard the four-year-old gelding and normally rides the Arthur Mortimer-trained galloper.
(1) Grand Reserve E/W
$8.00/$2.50 (1U/2U)
Race 6: TABTOUCH HAVE YOU GOT THE TOUCH HANDICAP (1000 METRES) – 3:30pm (5:30pm AEST)
(6) Richanco has been kind to us with back-to-back victories, and I see no reason to jump off now. Brad Parnham has ridden the four-year-old gelding superbly in both 1000m races this preparation, with one victory coming at Ascot and the other at Belmont. Both times, Richanco has won by more than 1.3 lengths and barrier seven looks great here. Should prove hard to beat again.
(7) Celestial Storm will offer strong competition in the race and is also a last-start winner, defeating Wind And The Lion by 1.54 lengths. She is a former Victorian horse who recorded her first win in the west at Ascot on May 10. With Pike in the saddle, the four-year-old mare is an obvious danger on paper.
(2) Hell I Am returns to the races for the first time since January. He had a 950m trial in preparation for the first up assignment as has won three time from six when fresh. Likes a Soft and Heavy track also. Each-way prospects.
(6) Richanco WIN
