Tigers vs Sea Eagles Predictions & Tips: NRL Round 11 2026
Losing their bite
Injuries and suspensions are hurting the Tigers currently. They were anything but competitive as they travelled down to Melbourne. Trailing 20-0 after 13 minutes, it was clear that this team was ambushed, eventually defeated 44-16. They have lost by a combined margin of 70 points in the past 2 weeks. It was hard to gain momentum in this contest; despite having an equal share of possession and completing at 90%, they could on manage 7.8m per carry. Their defence was worse, missing 47 tackles. They are desperately waiting for the return of key players as the recent run of form is a stark contrast to what they have produced to start 2026.
The Eagles are rocking
Another win for the Sea Eagles and there is a lot of talk about Foran’s long term future at the club. It is clear the playing group are motivated by their interim coach to perform well. That was on display as they defeated the Broncos 32-4. Aided by their opponent’s injury woes, the Sea Eagles executed to a level that was difficult to match. It was a dominating display as they had a 63% share of possession and completed at 77%, averaged 9.6m per carry, had 686 PCM’s, and 7 line breaks. Assessing their improved attitude, you need look no further than the 13 missed tackles on the night; another positive sign, the Sea Eagles will face tougher games but are a team which is heading in the right direction.
Stats that matter
- The home team has won the past 4 matches between these two sides. That is somewhat important as the Tigers (42%) and Sea Eagles (43%) both have a low strike rate at this ground.
- In the past 5 matches between these two sides, two have been decided by fewer than 14 points. This makes the average margin of victory 17.6 points. The average total points in the same period is 48 points, with 2 games surpassing 60+ points.
- The Sea Eagles have an edge on both sides of the ball against the Tigers. They score 28ppg in attack compared to the Tigers 26ppg. The major difference comes defensive, whereby the Tigers allow 24ppg and the Sea Eagles concede 20ppg.
Judgement day for the Tigers
Still without Koroisau but welcoming back May at prop, the Tigers have a tough task ahead of them. The Sea Eagles are boosted by the return of Fogarty at halfback although, they hardly missed him with Walsh filling in. They have earned favouritism for this match; the added challenging of backing up inside 6-days for this contest will cause further pressure on the Tigers. They have also suffered heavy defeats in their past two games. Absent players cannot account for such a large discrepancy; an attitude shift is needed, and they will fancy their chances, especially with a weakened middle for Manly which has been further impacted by injuries. This is compounded further by the loss of Wakeham at hooker. Simply speaking, the Tigers are better than the odds suggest, and the Sea Eagles are slightly vulnerable. Teams are beginning to figure them out on parts of the field and their speed at the ruck is covering their shortcomings. This points towards the Tigers being value at the line but hold fire, it may get out further as the start of this match approaches.

Tigers vs Sea Eagles Same Game Multi
Leg 1 = Total points under 53.5 – see above for justification.
Leg 2 = Koula to score – staying at centre has allowed him to produce his best form of late. Playing against the Tigers will give him confidence too. He has scored 5 tries in his past 5 games against them and has only missed out on one occasion.
Leg 3 = Olakau’atu to score – with Origin selection on the horizon, you can bet that he will produce a great game. Following a few quiet weeks, Olakau’atu will leave his impact on this game. With 3 tries in the past 4 matches against the Tigers, he knows how to expose his opponent’s weaknesses.
