Raiders vs Tigers Prediction & Tips: 2025 NRL Round 26

The Raiders way

It was a thrilling Golden Point length-of-the-field try for the Raiders to seal a 20-16 victory over the Panthers in Mudgee last week, with that result all but confirming their finish atop of the ladder. They demonstrated resilience in overcoming a 10-6 HT deficit, building their way into the match with 53% possession and an 85% completion rate. This saw them average 9.5m per carry and make a season high 728PCM’s. On top of 5 line breaks, the Raiders were the better team in most areas. They will want to improve upon their 33 missed tackles but there are plenty of pleasing signs ahead for this team.

An agonising loss

Clinging to a mathematical chance of playing in the Finals, the Tigers saw their hopes dashed in their 34-28 loss to the Cowboys at home. In an exciting contest, the Tigers couldn’t hold on, conceding 3 tries in the final 15 minutes to lose the match. It was always going to be tough for them with just 48% possession and a 76% completion rate. Still managing 9.3m per carry, they had 6 line breaks but were poor defensively. They missed 40 tackles in the match, struggling to halt their opponent’s momentum through the middle.

Stats that matter

* The Raiders won the Round 16 fixture between these two sides 16-12.

* The Wests Tigers have only won here twice since 2015. This may explain their 43% strike rate here and the Raiders 59%.

* The Raiders are the superior team on both sides of the ball this season. They score an average of 27ppg in attack compared to the Tigers 19ppg. Defensively, they allow just 19ppg whereas the Tigers concede 25ppg.

Only one outcome

Unfortunately for the Tigers, there is only one likely outcome to this match and that is a Raiders victory. The loss of Doueihi and a short turnaround only compounds the challenge for the visitors. The next challenge is finding value in the Raiders. Common sense suggests that they should cover the line. They have proven capable all season when scoring points and the Tigers can leak them through stages of a match. While they will want to avoid this here, it may ultimately become too much for them. Despite the recent record between these two sides suggesting otherwise, there is something different about the Raiders in 2025. An authoritative victory should ensure they are in the box seat to capture the Minor Premiership the following week.

Same Game Multi: Raiders vs Tigers

Leg 1 = Total points under 50.5 – of the past 5 matches, the average points total has been 44.6 points. It would be surprising to see this total pass based on each teams point scoring ability (or lack thereof) this season.

Leg 2 = Timiko to score – it has been a few quiet weeks for the powerful centre. He will not be silenced for long and will want to make a statement against a capable player in May who will look to dominate him.

Leg 3 = Weekes to score – after a match-winning effort last week, there is no reason why the Raiders dangerous attacking weapon cannot cross the tryline again from anywhere on the field.

Scooby's strength is assessing the overall team - what they offer across the field in a match and how the ethos of a club contributes to their success. Momentum also has a major impact on sports, and Scooby likes to explore this, while underpinning his judgement against a solid basis of statistical analysis. When combined with the aforementioned points, it combines for a holistic approach towards betting on rugby league.

Other sports he enjoys include Cricket, Horse Racing and NFL. There is a reason why Scooby ‘clicked’ with BYB from Day 1 - he loves his sport as much as we do.
