North Melbourne vs Fremantle Predictions & Tips: 2025 AFL Round 14
Kangaroos' Western Australia Adventure
While North Melbourne will already consider their Western Australia holiday a success after getting the points against the Eagles last week in Bunbury, they know they must continue to show signs of improvement each week to gain a pass mark for season 2025. The truth is that they were very, very poor last week, and would’ve been belted by 10 goals if they turned up like that against any other team in the league. They were lucky they were against the inaccurate Eagles, and ten minutes of decent footy in the last quarter was enough to get the win.
That won’t be the case against the Dockers.
Tristan Xerri continues to be a shining light as an emerging star of the game, while Colby McKercher delivered 35 disposals across half back last week. However the Roos will miss Charlie Comben who is out with a shoulder injury.
The Roos aren’t showing the best too often, but they certainly have the talent to produce a scare if they can figure it out.
Freo on a Roll
The Dockers are well rested following their bye and enter this match on the back of strong wins against the Giants, Power and Suns and a handy 7-5 record to hold onto their spot in the Top 8.
While the Dockers were certainly sketchy earlier in the season, they’ve started to produce the performances that we expected from their talented list.
Skipper Alex Pearce will miss once again with a shin issue.
The Dockers have been gifted an extra home game by the Kangaroos and will want to make sure they take advantage. Complacency might be their biggest enemy here.
So who wins? Here's our Kangaroos vs Dockers Tip
This should be a great battle in the midfield. Xerri, Sheezel and Davies-Uniacke against Jackson, Serong and Brayshaw. While the Roos were winning the clearances against the Eagles, they were in control of the match, but this is a far tougher opposition.
Freo have won seven of their past ten matches against the Roos, and five of their last six by over 25 points. However the Roos don’t mind playing at Optus Stadium where they have a 4-4 win-loss record.
While Fremantle clearly have the advantage, the five-goal line does seem a little high. If the Roos can pull it together then they can certainly be competitive and push the Dockers all the way.
If that happens, I suspect it will become a low-scoring defensive contest. Neither team have been efficient with their scoring this season. Despite their defensive vulnerabilities, the last six games North have had at Optus Stadium had gone under the points line, so that’s our play here.

Kangaroos vs Dockers Prop Bet: Bolton Finding Form
Our Best Player Prop Bet: Shai Bolton 20+ Disposals & 1+ Goal
After a slow start to the season, Shai Bolton has been in ripping recent form for Fremantle, and the Kangaroos will need to give him some attention if they want to avoid him running riot again. He's hit the 20+ disposals mark in three of his last four matches, to go with 8 goals across that period. Won't get an easier match up than the Roos flimsy backline to hit those numbers once again.

Kangaroos vs Dockers Same Game Multi
Fremantle to win: While the Kangaroos can be competitive, this really is a game that Fremantle should just win to add some value to our multi.
Shai Bolton Anytime Goalscorer: As we mentioned, Shai Bolton has been in excellent form with 8 goals in his last 4 matches. The Roos have real problems defensively, so even if Bolton does get some attention, he should be able to break through to hit the scoreboard at some stage.
Andrew Brayshaw 30+ Disposals: It will be great midfield battle, and with teams tending to lean towards tagging Caleb Serong, that leaves Andrew Brayshaw to get loose. Brayshaw is a known ball magnet and his recent form has seen him collect 30 touches in three of his last four games. If you want something a bit safer, take the 25+ disposals market.
Colby McKercher 25+ Disposals: Young gun Colby McKercher had the best game of his career last week playing in a pure half-back role and amassing 35 disposals. He has excellent efficiency so the Roos clearly want the ball in his hands for his run and penetration. Expect to see him sweeping up in the backline once again.
