Esports Betting Tips: Tuesday, April 21st

April 21st 2020, 9:23am, By: Mark Prezelj

Big night of esports action coming up this Tuesday, the 21st of April with a bunch of different DOTA2 competitions headlining the night. See our best bets from the WePlay, Illusion Spring and China Development leagues for Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning below.

Esports Betting Tips: Dota2 – Tuesday, April 21st

Vikin.gg vs Aggressive Mode

DOTA2 WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Europe Qualifier

Vikin.gg and Aggressive Mode will meet in the semi-finals of WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Europe Qualifier where one team will earn a direct bye into the finals, while the other will have to settle for a top-four finish and a ticket for Pushka League's second division.

The betting odds suggest Vikin.gg should win this bout with ease, which is a fair assessment. Looking back, the Romanian squad produced a remarkable run through the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, where they defeated Alliance (2-1), Team Secret (2-0) and Chicken Fighters (2-1). Vikin.gg failed to defeat OG in the semi-finals (0-2), however, they have still shown immense quality, which should not be undervalued. Although a lot can happen in an online match, we can't pass on the opportunity to side with Vikin.gg here. If they can show the same fire as they did at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, Vikin.gg should have no difficulties securing a clean sweep, which is exactly what we will expect to see from them this Tuesday.

Demon Slayers vs ghoul

DOTA2 Ilusion Spring

Demon Slayers and ghoul will clash on the sixth day of Ilusion Spring online Dota2 league in what is billed as a match that can go both ways and considering this is an online tournament that just might be the case. Ghoul are a stack of amateur players led by ex-FlyToMoon offlaner Alexander "Flow" Sazonov, while Demon Slayers field two established Dota2 players in Hang "oldWhite" Zhao and Yixaun "xuan" Guo, so it's fair to say the latter have an advantage when it comes to raw player quality.

As seen in the fixtures played in Group A, this tournament is filled with very volatile games, which makes betting on a draw a tempting bet. Nonetheless, with 3.05 offered on Demon Slayers, this is a perfect chance to side with them. This might be considered as a risky bet, but it's very easy to underestimate the value two established pro players bring to the team, both in individual quality and leadership. Although Ghoul still have Flow on their team, I expect they will struggle with fluid communication, seeing how the team is made of a Russian, Spaniard, two Americans and a Canadian player.

Aster.Aries vs LGD.Int

DOTA2 China Development League Season 3

Aster.Aries are entering this bout with a 0-3 record next to their name, after failing to defeat Sparking Arrow Gaming (0-2), EHOME.Immortal (1-2) and IG Vitality (1-2) in their opening three fixtures. LGD.INT, on the other side picked up a close win against EHOME.Immortal (2-1), yet failed to see the same success against Ocean (1-2) and StarLucK.Fly (0-2).

Based on their performance, it would be fair to say both Aster.Aries and LGD.Int looked equally bad, however, it's the latter who are entering this bout as a heavy favourite. Although that might seem like a mistake on the bookmaker's part, it’s a fair assessment, considering LGD.Int just recently rebuild their roster, which is objectively much stronger to the previous version. LGD.Int now fields Pang "BrayaNt" Jian Zhe, Lai "Ahjit" Jay Son, as well as Dominik "Black^" Reitmeier who are all experienced and respected players in the scene. In all fairness, the current version of LGD.Int looks too strong to be even competing at this tournament, and considering they just recently won bronze at Amadeus Cup, they should have no issues stomping the struggling Aster.Aries.
