2-0 in last week’s Esports betting tips as our focus was once again on the Call of Duty Pro League Season 2. We hit on winners at prices of $2.35 and $1.80 for a profitable round and we’ll be looking to back it up this week as we take a look at the Round 3 action in the CWL Pro League below!
It will be the first week of Division B games this Wednesday-Friday morning, so we’ll look to find some value as some teams line-up for the first time with completely new rosters.
Call of Duty Pro League Week 3 Betting Tips
Luminosity vs eUnited (Wednesday 5.30am AEST)
All eyes will be on Luminosity here after they made one of the major moves of the transfer period, picking up main AR player Formal from Optic Gaming. After converting from Halo a few years back, Formal has proven himself to be one of the best assault rifflers and one of the best Call of Duty players in the world.
Combining his raw talent with the experience and professionalism that you get with the rest of the Luminosity in JKap, John and Slacked could be exactly what was needed for Formal to finally flourish in Call of Duty: WWII, where he has so far been pretty lacklustre playing in a unprofessional Optic system.
eUnited made one change in the transfer period, picking up Felony in place of Silly, who departed for Evil Geniuses. Luminosity start as $1.75 favourites here and I have to side with them after adding Formal. They were already one of the better teams in WWII and they should come out fired up with the new addition.
Optic Gaming vs Luminosity (Friday 8.30am AEST)
This will be the most anticipated game of the week as Optic Gaming take on former teammate Formal while Octane will be taking on his old team, Luminosity. It was a well documented blow up of the Optic team that was so dominant for so long. After winning last years World Championships, they started the WWII season in poor form, which resulted in some major changes last month.
After dropping three time world champion Karma and picking up Methodz from Rise nation, they made a straight trade of Formal for Octane to try to freshen things up moving forward.
Tough game to call here and as the game is on Friday, odds haven’t been released yet. A lot will depend on what the teams do in their first two matchups on Wednesday and Thursday morning but there will be so many emotions surrounding this one that I think anything can happen.
Optic will likely start as underdogs but I like them here. Renowned as the best player of all time, Seth ‘Scump’ Abner seems to have new found passion for the game with his new team and the winningest player of all time in Crimsix can never be counted out.
