LIV Golf Mexico Betting Tips
Club de Golf Chapultepec, Thursday 16th - Sunday 19th April
The Field
Bryson DeChambeau is the headline act right now and for good reason. The Crushers GC captain has won the last two events in dramatic fashion and now stands on the verge of LIV history. Already the league’s most decorated player in combined team and individual trophies, another win here would further cement his dominance in this format.
Standing in his way is Jon Rahm, who continues to be the metronome of LIV Golf. The two-time reigning Individual Champion has barely put a foot wrong in 2026, posting a win, three runner-up finishes and a fifth. His Legion XIII squad also returns as defending team champions in Mexico City, though they’re still chasing their first team win of the season.
Then there’s Joaquin Niemann, last year’s Mexico City winner and captain of the all-Latin American Torque GC. With Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz back on home soil, expect serious crowd support. Both players have spoken about the pride of performing in front of their home fans, and if momentum builds early, this team could ride the wave deep into Sunday.
The Course
Club de Golf Chapultepec is one of the most unique tests in world golf, sitting more than 7,000 feet above sea level. The altitude turns the course into a launchpad, with tee shots travelling significantly further and forcing players to constantly adjust yardages and strategy.
Originally designed in the early 1920s and later renovated by Greg Norman, the layout blends classic architecture with modern tweaks. Tree-lined fairways, elevation changes and tricky green complexes demand precision, even if the thin air tempts players to swing out of their shoes.
Distance will be a weapon this week, but it’s not a free-for-all. Controlling spin, judging distances and staying disciplined will separate contenders from pretenders. The players who adapt quickest to the altitude typically rise fast here and stay there.
Top Picks
He’s the man to beat right now, full stop. Two straight wins, both under pressure, and now heading to a course where his power becomes even more dangerous. If he gets comfortable with the altitude early, this could get scary for the rest of the field.
One of the most reliable ball-strikers in the field, Tyrrell Hatton’s control and elite short game make him a perfect fit here. If he keeps his emotions in check, he has the tools to seriously contend.
Value Picks
The big-hitting Belgian is built for this setup, with his length off the tee a major weapon. If he finds some consistency with the putter, he has the firepower to climb quickly.
Always dangerous when conditions reward creativity, Herbert’s short game and putting can get scorching hot. If he gets into a rhythm early, he’s more than capable of making a run.
