West Coast will host Carlton in the final game of the AFL Round 14 slate on Sunday at 6.10pm (AEST) from Optus Stadium. With Carlton desperate for a win to stay in finals contention and West Coast becoming more competitive by the week, it should be an interesting clash.

West Coast vs Carlton Prediction & Tips: 2025 AFL Round 14
Hanging by a Blue Thread
It’s a monster week for the Blues, who currently sit two full games outside of the top eight and will be desperate to win here to stay in touch. They recorded a hard fought eight point win over the Bombers on Sunday night football last week to move to 5-7 on the season and snap a two game losing streak. Midfielder Sam Walsh was back to his accumulating best, racking up 32 touches and seven clearances in the win, while Blues small forwards in Zac Williams and Jesse Motlop got busy with two goals each.
Soaring Effort, Same Result for Eagles
West Coast have had a season to forget, but there are at least some positives to take from their last month of football, which includes their only win of the season against the Saints back in Round 10, followed by three fairly competitive performances against Adelaide, Geelong and North Melbourne. They lead portions of all three of those games but were ultimately overrun in the last quarter of each, but there is no doubt that they have shown clear signs of improvement.
Carlton Engine Room Running on Empty
After a big game last week against the Bombers, Sam Walsh is an unfortunately casualty for the Blues, and will miss the trip to Perth with a foot injury. Youngster Will White will also come out of the side for the Blues, with Jaxon Binns and Corey Durdin set to come in. The Eagles will make three changes to the side that went down to the Roos last weekend, with Tom Cole, Brady Hough and Archer Reid making way for Clay Hall, Bailey J. Williams and Tom McCarthy.
Eagles or Blues? Here’s our West Coast vs Carlton Tip
The Blues start as 23.5 point favourites on the road but I’m leaning slightly towards the Eagles at that line. The Blues did beat the Eagles by 71 points at Gather Round back in Round 5 but I think this West Coast team is far more competitive now and should will have a strong Perth crowd behind them here. The Blues are 5-7 on the season and have won just two games by over 23 points so far. They are also one of the lowest scoring teams in the competition this year, averaging just 80.5 points per game. I think this one will be a relatively low scoring game where the Eagles get a slight cover.

West Coast vs Carlton Player Prop Bet
Our Best Player Prop: George Hewett Most Disposals (Group A)
One of the top accumulators in the league this season. Had 29 against the Bombers last week and is averaging 27.9 per game this season. Doesn’t have as much competition in this group with Sam Walsh out this week. The Eagles are the lowest possession team in the league, not expecting anyone there to challenge Hewett, meaning it’s basically a two horse racing between him and Cripps. Like the odds here.

Eagles vs Blues Same Game Multi
Throughout the 2025 AFL season we’ll be putting together a fun same game multi for every match using Dabble.
Carlton H2H - Slight hedge against our main tip here but I think there is a strong chance we hit the sweet spot with a Carlton win and Eagles cover. With so much on the line for the Blues, hard to see them losing this one. Still at decent $1.26 odds for a SGM anchor leg.
George Hewett 25+ Disposals - AS described above, should be a set and forget against an Eagles side that doesn’t generally tag. Has racked up 25+ in every game bar one this season.
Zac Williams 1+ Goal - Has stepped up as a genuine forward option for the Blues over recent weeks, kicking seven goals in his last three games including a big bag of four a few weeks ago. Should get on the scoreboard here.
