Warwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, September 3rd 2025
Race 3: Asahi Super Dry BM72 (1600m) - 2:45pm AEST
(3) Island Dream: 4YO Mare who has returned in good order and got the chocolates nicely second up over 1550m on the heavy conditions. Tackled BM78 grade over the mile last start and finished in the money. Drops back in grade, draws pole and J-Mac rides. Rock hard fit and looks the one to beat. On top.
(5) Johnny The Kid: 4YO Gelding who is on the quick back up, but was beaten by 3.5L last start over 1550m in this company. Expect improvement third up and back on some better track conditions. No early market support is the only concern. Chance.
(7) Christa: Value play of the field who has a pretty tidy record and looks suited over further which she gets today. Strips fitter and with the handy draw she has to be considered. Value.
(3) Island Dream
$2.15 (5 units)
Race 5: Captivant @ Kia Ora BM72 (1400m) - 3:55pm AEST
(3) Who Ever Thought: Roughie of the day who has been racing in fine form. Strung together two wins including a BM84 win three runs back over this trip. Won again over 1550m and then most recently was sound in defeat when lugging top weight. Remains at this grade, but gets back to 1400m. Gets a 3kg claim this time which puts him right in this at a price.
(5) Starman: 7YO Gelding who has been racing in much tougher races and hasn’t been disgraced. Gets back to midweek racing and with the nice draw and J-Mac in the saddle he will be hard to beat. Hard fit fourth up.
(7) Frontex: Lightly raced 5YO who is yet to miss the drum from his 4 career starts. Returned nicely after a demolition job on the wet over 1250m in a BM64 lugging 60kg. Draws well for this and Gibbons stays on. Consider.
(3) Who Ever Thought (E/W)
$11/$3.10 (1u/2u)
Race 7: Tab BM72 (1100m) – 5:05pm AEST
(2) Prima Bella: 5YO Mare who is a talented sprinter, and we were on her last start where she ran respectfully on the heavy finishing 3rd. Prag gets back into the saddle so they can claim 3kg which makes her another winning chance. Looks over the odds.
(4) Ticklebelly: 5YO Mare who resumes today and has a fantastic first up record. She goes well over this trip and with the handy draw and Jason Collett jumping into the saddle again she has to be considered at odds. Ready to fire.
(7) Pallaton: 3YO Colt who is the favourite here and that’s after a solid run in Stakes company first up finishing 3rd behind Skyhook. This is much easier now and id expect improvement second up. Early market drift the only concern, but drawn well and Tommy Berry stays on. Goes well.
(4) Ticklebelly (E/W)
$12/$3.00 (1u/2u)
