Titans vs Warriors Preview & Betting Tips: NRL Round 25 2025

August 22nd 2025, 6:06pm, By: Ben Bridge

Titans vs Warriors Betting Tips

NRL Super Saturday continues with an interesting battle from the Gold Coast, as the Warriors head over to take on the Titans in a massive game for the road team. With the Warriors fighting to secure a top 4 berth, the Titans are desperately looking for one more win to get off the bottom of the ladder. Should be a fun one in the sandwich spot on Super Saturday.

Ben Bridge brings you his preview and best bets for this clash below and if you’re keen to play along, simply join Neds via this link!

Titans vs Warriors Prediction & Tips: 2025 NRL Round 25

Is a Titans Wooden Spoon Inevitable?

The Titans continued their ridiculously inconsistent end to the season last week, as they were absolutely destroyed by the Sharks at Shark Park, going down 54-22. The Titans actually shot out to a 10-6 lead, before a Jesse Colquhoun try in the 22nd minute for the Sharks turned the tide, with the home side running in four tries in 17 minutes to lead 28-10 at the half. It didn’t get any better after the break, with the Sharks running in five tries in 14 minutes to lead 54-10, before two late consolation tries to the Titans made the scoreline a little more respectable. This came after tight losses to the Rabbitohs, Tigers and Panthers, and a win over the Warriors. Sadly, for Des Hasler, it would appear his career as Head Coach of the Titans is coming to an end.

AJ Brimson looked good last week in a well beaten side, running for 240 metres, breaking the line twice, and setting up a try, whilst Phillip Sami ran for 247 metres, scoring a try and busting four tackles. Sadly though, this Titans team continues to prove why they are favourites for the wooden spoon and are now in a straight battle with the Knights to see who takes the dreaded spoon home this offseason.

Warriors Limping Towards the Top 4

The Warriors form has been anything but convincing over the past month of football, with close wins over the Dragons and Knights, to go with losses to the Titans, Dolphins, and Bulldogs. What once appeared a guaranteed top 4 finish, the Warriors were actually in serious trouble of dropping outside the top 8. Now, they are back inside the top 4 and need to continue winning if they want that second chance in the finals.

Last week, the Warriors took on the Dragons in Auckland on Friday Night Football. In a game they were expected to win, the Warriors struggled mightily, and realistically were quite lucky to come away 14-10 winners. Whilst the team statistics were quite similar, the Dragons definitely had the better of the game, and probably should have won with the number of errors the Warriors made (10) and tackles they missed (35). For the Warriors, Jackson Ford was immense in the middle, running for 154 metres and making 53 tackles, however he will likely miss the rest of the regular season, having been charged with a crusher tackle. Taine Tuaupiki looked dangerous at fullback, setting up two tries and running for 145 metres, in a game that probably solidified the youngster as the long-term fullback at the Warriors.

Titans vs Warriors Recent History

The Titans have a fantastic recent record against the Warriors, winning six of the past seven matchups between the teams, with the last game at this ground resulting in a massive 66-6 victory for the Titans, in one of the craziest results of the season.

Most recently, the teams met just four weeks ago in round 21, when the Warriors closed 12.5-point home favourites, with a total of 48.5. Despite a fast start from the Warriors that included two tries inside the opening 10 minutes, the Titans quickly took control over the game, scoring four unanswered tries over the ensuing 45 minutes to lead 24-10. A try in the 61st minute to Roger Tuivasa-Scheck cut the lead to 8, but the Titans hung in there, eventually winning 24-16. Phillip Sami was huge for the visitors, scoring two tries with two-line breaks and running for 256 metres, whilst Jayden Campbell was at his scheming best, setting up two tries, breaking the line once, and assisting in a line break to lead the Titans to victory.

Of note, the Warriors lost hooker Wayde Egan early in the contest, which certainly had a major impact on the result in my opinion.

Tight, Low Scoring Battle Expected on the Coast

The Warriors were listed as short 2.5-point road favourites on the look ahead, before re-opening as 3.5-point favourites. The number looked like it might push 4.5, but that’s where the push back came, with the number now sitting at a flat 3.5. My fair is Warriors -4, and as such I don’t see a tonne of value here. Both teams have plenty to play for, so it’s hard to handicap motivation in this one. The Warriors haven’t been great at covering as favourites (5/12); however, I would lean towards the Warriors to win by 4+. However, Ill leave this for now and look towards the total.

The total opened 48.5 and has not moved all week. Whilst my number of 45.5 doesn’t indicate massive value in the under, it is my favourite play in this game. Both teams don’t show any real proclivity towards the over/under this season, with both close to 50/50 for overs/unders. Because of the tough handicap, and the lack of value in the under, this won’t be a huge bet, and I suggest using your capital at several other games this week where there is more value in the market.

Titans vs Warriors Player Prop Bet: Brimson to Continue Fine Form

Our Best Prop Bet: Brimson 1+ Try

AJ Brimson has been terrific at fullback over the past month or so, regularly running for 150+ metres and being involved heavily in the attack of the Titans. It hasn’t quite equated to a tonne of tries, with Brimson scoring only one try in his past five games, but he’s due this week, and I’ll back him in.

Same Game Multi: Titans vs Warriors

Leg 1: Warriors ML – I just think they get it done here. When the game gets tight, big brother will take over and get the win.

Leg 2: AJ Brimson (1+ try) – See above player prop bet.

Leg 3: L Halasima (1+ try) – This kid could be the find of the year for the Warriors, scoring 10 tries in 21 games. Scored a try in their last game against the Titans, and I’ll back him in again this week.
