The standalone NRL match on Friday night will take place on the Gold Coast this week, with the Titans hosting the Sea Eagles. With both teams out of form, this becomes a match where two teams will be desperate for the competition points on offer. Neither has demonstrated consistency in recent weeks but these games can often provide a surprisingly good match. Before You Bet is here to help find you a winner to add to your viewing enjoyment.

Titans vs Sea Eagles Prediction & Tips: 2025 NRL Round 15
Titanic Struggle
The Titans have won just one of their past nine matches and were again poor in their 44-14 loss to the Broncos on the road. Outclassed in every area, they struggled on both sides of the ball; a 28-0 HT deficit highlights their shortcomings. Such is their inept execution, they still had an 83% completion rate, averaged 9.1m per carry and made a similar number of PCM’s. It is the effort areas where they are poor, allowing 9 line breaks, missing 39 tackles and conceding 8 tries.
Consistently Inconsistent Sea Eagles
The Sea Eagles were at their inconsistent best, looking vastly different to the team which was successful last week. A narrow 4-point loss covers a few issues, but the fact remains that they were defeated by an inferior opponent in the Knights 26-22. Compounding their issue is the fact they gave up a 16-nil HT lead. They also had a greater share of possession (53%), a superior completion rate (84%), made more line breaks and averaged 9.9m per carry. However, when it mattered most, they were unable to close out the match.
Stats That Matter
- The trip north will not worry the Sea Eagles. They have a 67% strike rate at this ground, winning 10 from 15 attempts. The Titans win just 44% of games played at home.
- The Sea Eagles have performed better than the Titans on both sides of the ball. They average 24ppg in attack and 20ppg in defence, compared with the Titans 20ppg in attack and 31ppg in defence.
- Matches between these two sides are usually high scoring contest. The average total in the past 5 games is 51.6 points, with just one under 44 points.
A Toss of the Coin
This is an ugly game to part ways with your money. The Sea Eagles are the more fancied team. Not only do they have a strong record here and against the Titans, the inclusion of DCE and the Trbojevic brothers further boosts their chances of victory. Each will be out to make a statement too. This spells trouble for the home side and while there is little to like about them, they are capable of a surprising performance which contradicts a season of previous form. Still, a lot more must be demonstrated before you can invest on them with confidence; they appear disconnected from one another on both sides of the ball and will need to overcome a series of challenges to halt the expected outcome in this match.

Leg 2: Koula to score – He is the Sea Eagles’ leading try scorer for the season with 9 and will be out to add to his tally against a vulnerable opponent.
Leg 3: Garrick to score – He is ranked 3rd with 6 tries for the season but has been tryless in the past 5 matches. Expect him to return to form, especially with Turbo chiming into the backline and attacking defenders.
