Sharks vs Warriors Predictions & Tips: 2025 NRL Round 14

Sound the Shark alarm

The Sharks had a week off last week to lament their disappointing 42-16 loss to the Roosters on the road. Outplayed in every area, the Shark struggled for momentum and were never in the contest. It was a case of being ineffective with the ball; they still had an equal share of possession (50%), completed at 80%, but made significantly fewer metres. It was also concerning that a strong defensive team like them allowed 7 tries, 9.5m per carry, 6 line breaks and missed 33 tackles. It was an alarming performance as they did not reflect a team who is worthy of finish inside the Top 4.

Consistently Consistent

The Warriors have made a habit of this in 2025 and it has seen then rocket up the competition ladder to 3rd spot. Their most recent 36-30 victory would’ve previously been a match they would’ve lost. Again, poise was the key as they completed at 80% with 50% possession. They also averaged 9.9m per carry and made significantly more PCM’s. Such efforts have given them an edge this season and one that they should aim to maintain each week.

Stats/H2H Headline

  • These two sides are evenly matched when it comes to points scored and conceded this season. The Sharks score an average of 24ppg compared to the Warriors 20ppg. Both sides concede an average of 20ppg in defence.

  • The home team has won just 1 of the past 5 matches. The Warriors poor record here (32% - 6/19) might just help the Sharks, who are usually strong at home (58%).

  • 3 of the past 5 matches have been decided by 4 points or less. The average sits at 12.4 points, with the two other games being blowout 22 and 32 point wins, one to each team.

Unrealistic Ddds, What to Believe? Here’s Our Sharks vs Warriors Tip

The Sharks are strong favourites for this match and unfairly so as this discredits the form of the Warriors this season. The Sharks are allowed a poor performance but there were several areas of concern in their last match. The Warriors are continuing their winning ways and know how to perform well in big matches. The loss of Barnett for the season will impact their power in the forwards. It doesn’t heavily sway the odds against them though. They have proven worthy of greater respect in 2025. This thought brings the line into contention but with little room for error. Therefore, the preferred option is to take either team to win by 10-points. The Sharks will be strong against a tough opponent and the Warriors will be up for the challenge. They are not the type of team to be ‘blown out’ on the score board as in previous years.

Either Team by 10.5 Points or Less

Sharks vs Warriors Same Game Multi

Leg 1 = Total Points Over 44.5 – the average between these two teams in the past 5 matches is 51.5 points. Their season tallies in 2025 suggest this margin is also set to be surpassed. Such is the confidence in this, it was almost the ‘Suggested Bet’.

Leg 2 = Iro to score – scoring 9 tries for the season, Iro has scored in the past 3 games for the Sharks. Proving challenging to stop for any opponent, he again poses an attacking threat on a variety of plays close to the line.

Leg 3 = Watene-Zelezniak to score – He has crossed just once in the 4 games he has played in 2025 but critically, his first was last week in a sign that he is returning to form. The Warriors will rely on him on the edge and look to take advantage of his experience over his opponent.

Scooby's strength is assessing the overall team - what they offer across the field in a match and how the ethos of a club contributes to their success. Momentum also has a major impact on sports, and Scooby likes to explore this, while underpinning his judgement against a solid basis of statistical analysis. When combined with the aforementioned points, it combines for a holistic approach towards betting on rugby league.

Other sports he enjoys include Cricket, Horse Racing and NFL. There is a reason why Scooby ‘clicked’ with BYB from Day 1 - he loves his sport as much as we do.
