Richmond vs St Kilda Prediction & Tips: 2025 AFL Round 22
Wanganeen-Milera Stars Again as Saints Surge
The Saints are on a two game winning streak after the thrilling comeback victory over the Demons followed by a close win over the Roos last week. Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera continued his incredible run with another best on ground performance against North Melbourne, racking up 36 touches and a game high nine score involvements. Rowan Marshall was also impressive in the win with 24 touches and 32 hitouts. The Saints have a great chance to salvage something of their season with winnable games against the Tigers and Bombers coming up.
Young Tigers Have the Fight, Just Not the Finish
After back to back wins against the Bombers and Eagles, the Tigers have lost their last two to slip back to 16th on the AFL ladder, going down the Magpies and the Suns. Scoring has been a major issue for the Tigers this season. They are the lowest scoring team in the competition, averaging just 62.3 points per game. The one positive that the Tigers can take away from this season is that they have been incredibly gritty for such an inexperienced team. They have regularly been leading far more experienced teams through half time and beyond in games and should be able to draw on that moving forward.
Saints and Tigers Bolster Lineups Ahead of Clash
Both teams will get some firepower back in their lineup this week, particularly the Tigers who will welcome back plenty of experience in Nathan Broad, Tom Lynch and Tim Taranto into the line-up. The Saints add talent but with a more youthful look, as Darcy Wilson, Liam Henry and Mattaes Phillipou come back into the line-up a the expense of Mitch Owens, Ryan Byrnes and Angus Hastie. The return of Phillipou, in particular, has been a long awaited one, and will mark the first time he has played alongside the Saints other key young stars in Wanganeen-Milera and Alix Tauru.
Tigers or Saints? Here’s our Richmond vs St Kilda Tip
The Saints start as 21.5 point favourites here, which I think is a touch high given their performances of late. Sure the comeback win against the Demons was an amazing result, but that came on the back of a six game losing streak and they were just nine point winners over the Roos last week. The Tigers have been feisty against better opponents throughout the season and they get some serious firepower and a major scoring avenue back this week

Richmond vs St Kilda Player Prop Bet
Our Best Player Prop: Max Hall 2+ Goals
Max Hall has been playing a lot of midfield minutes in the last few weeks but I think he swings back predominantly into the forward line given some midfield caliber players in Phillpou, Wilson and Henry are coming back into the side. Good value for him to get back on the scorers list this week.
Richmond vs St Kilda Same Game Multi
Rowan Marshall 1+ Goal - With Max Heath in the line-up, Marshall should be spending more time forward week to week. He has kicked one goal in six of his last seven games, proving his ability to get forward and impact on the scoreboard.
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera 30+ Disposals - This is basically a set and forget at the moment. The Messiah has gone next level over the last few months, racking up at least 30 touches in five of his last seven and his last three in a row.
Jayden Short 20+ Disposals - Roaming half backs generally clean up against the Saints and Short has been in solid accumulating form lately. Has had 20+ in three of his last four games and had 26 against the Saints earlier this season.
