Randwick hosts Saturday Racing at Sydney this weekend and the program is a strong one too. It's an early start for punters with race one starting at 11:20am (AEST) with gallopers likely to be running on a Soft5. Race one is for the two year olds and one of my three best bets of the day comes up in that event.
Brendan Bunworth has done the form to bring you his three best bets for day from Ranwdick, with odds thanks to Neds. And if you’re after more free tips for this weekend’s key meetings, then head over to our Racing Tips page!
Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, July 26th 2025
Race 1: Keeneland September Yearling Sale Handicap - 11:20am (AEST)
(7) Nazwah is having her second start and she will go forward again in the small field. She led all of the way at Gosford after punters backed her into $1.70 and the conditions will be very similar to what she faced on that occasion. She won in fast time on debut and it looked as though she had a bit left in the tank too with Tom Sherry on top. He rides again.
(1) Shaggy is a proven class horse and he is resuming from a spell. Inside barrier mat help and he may just stalk Nazwah from that draw and settle on the back of her in third. Did win a Newcastle trial 2 weeks ago too. Gets a 3kg claim for this.
(2) Hello Romeo won a Flemington jumpout last week and then got on the float shortly after to head north. Has won 2 races on the Soft, is third up and ready to be close to 100 percent in fitness.
(7) Nazwah WIN
$2.00 (3 Units)
Race 7: Marcellin College Randwick Handicap - 2:50pm (AEST)
(4) Sacred Rocks has the widest barrier (13) in this 1300m event and will obviously need a little luck. The filly has been involved in 2 close finishes in her latest couple, one she won and the other she was runner up, both at Rosehill. On both occasions she got back in the run and she will go back again from the draw. She will have to hook out wide over the final 200m but the outside might be the place to be by race 7. First look at Randwick under race conditions but should suit.
(5) Little Cointreau was unlucky at Rosehill last start when 3rd and the consistent gelding should run well again. The issue is though that he does run a lot of placings and he hasn’t won in more than a year. Loves this distance though.
(9) Drift Net enjoys racing on rain affected ground so her chances improve if it rains on the day. Is fresh and was less than a length away from Sacred Rocks last start.
(4) Sacred Rocks WIN
$2.40 (2 Units)
Race 8: ATC Thankyou Trainers Handicap - 3:30pm (AEST)
(4) Cigar Flick hasn’t won in more than 12 months but gets a track & distance that she has won over previously. Drops back to the 1100m again and she has won 3 from 13 over that trip. She has been frustrating the punters of late and she did the same last Spring but at double figure odds she could show up with Berry on. He sticks with her and he will have her running on at the end with a strong tempo up front.
(1) Storm The Ramparts will go across from barrier 10 and settle handy. He likes this distance and he is running in great style. Wet rack form is solid and he was only defeated a nose last start. In form.
(6) Hi Dubai led and scored at Rosehill last start and will roll forward again. Has won 4 times over the 1100m and he has only missed a placing once from 5 starts at Randwick.
(4) Cigar Flick Each-Way
$13/$3.40 (0.5 Units)
