All the top golfers in the world head to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in England this week for the final major of the year, The Open Championship. It promises to be a cracking tournament as there are a number of genuine chances to lift the trophy among the 156-strong field.

PGA Tour: The Open Championship Betting Tips
The Open, Royal Liverpool Golf Club, UK Thursday 20th – Sunday 23rd.
Th Open championship is hosted by the Royal Liverpool Golf Club which is 72- hole tournament which is one of the bigger events on the PGA calendar. We are expected to see most of the top golfers playing her this week.
The Field
The 2023 Open Championship is set for a $15Million purse with the winner expected to take home $3million. This event hasn’t been held at Liverpool since 2014 when Rory Mcllroy previously won the event. 156 players will begin this event with a cut taking place on day two. Seeing the return of a few of the top LIV golfers here to for the first time after the new collaboration with PGA.
The Course
The course is a par 71 that is just over 6.6km in distance. The course has also created a new 17th hole which is expected to be a tricky one for all players. The new hole is exposed to the coastline and is set to be one of the smallest greens on a golf course. Overall the course isn’t overly difficult, but the last few holes that are exposed by the coast will make it difficult with winds usually causing issues for players.
Betting Tips
Rory MCCLLROY $8/$2.10 (TOP 10) – Bet Now at TAB
Coming off a huge win last week in the Scottish open sets him right up again here. He won this event at this course back in 2014 and he has hit back into his winning form at the right time. Expect him to be playing top golf again.
Rickie FOWLER $23/$2.70 (TOP 10) – Bet Now at Ladbrokes
Always around the mark this bloke. Generally finishes in the top 20 with a win in the rocket mortgage classic a couple of weeks ago. Expecting him to still be around the mark and confident with him finishing top 20.
Cameron SMITH $17/$2.40 (TOP 10) – Bet Now at Neds
The Aussie who has been playing some excellent golf over at LIV. He has only participated in three of the PGA events this year with his most recent being the US Open where he finished 4th. Expect him to be around the mark again here.
