Week 7 of the NFL season arrives on Monday morning in Australia with the competition beginning to take shape as we approach the halfway point of the campaign. San Francisco remains the only undefeated team in the NFC, Kansas City continues to set the standard in the AFC, and several divisional races are becoming increasingly competitive. With four teams enjoying their bye week, we have 12 games to sink our teeth into across the Sunday slate.
Our three feature games begin with the undefeated 49ers travelling to Atlanta to face the Falcons. Green Bay and Detroit then meet in a massive NFC North showdown before Sunday Night Football sees Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs head to Seattle, where Kenneth Walker III will face his former team for the first time.

NFL Week 7 Monday Betting Tips
San Francisco 49ers at Atlanta Falcons
4:00am AEDT
San Francisco remains undefeated through six games, although the 49ers were made to work for their latest victory after almost surrendering a 20-point lead against Washington on Monday Night Football. Brock Purdy continues to operate Kyle Shanahan's offence at an exceptionally high level, while Christian McCaffrey remains one of the most dangerous dual-threat running backs in football. Injuries to several key offensive contributors are a concern, with Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel both sidelined, but the 49ers have demonstrated an ability to overcome personnel changes throughout their perfect start.
Atlanta enters at 2-4 after a disappointing opening six weeks, although there were some encouraging signs in last weekend's performance against Chicago. Bijan Robinson has been outstanding, averaging more than 106 rushing yards per game and ranking among the league leaders in total yards from scrimmage. The Falcons have also been particularly effective defending the run, allowing just 3.6 yards per carry, but Michael Penix Jr. has struggled against zone coverage, which could be a significant issue against a San Francisco defence that uses zone on almost 70% of opposing dropbacks.
Prediction: Atlanta's ability to limit opposing running backs could make life difficult for McCaffrey, but San Francisco has enough versatility offensively to overcome that challenge. Purdy should find opportunities through the short passing game, particularly targeting McCaffrey and George Kittle, while the 49ers' defensive structure looks well suited to containing Penix. Atlanta has also failed to cover in all three home games this season, and we'll back San Francisco to maintain its perfect record with another victory on the road.

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
7:25am AEDT
Green Bay heads to Detroit at 4-2 and will welcome back running back Josh Jacobs after an extended absence. The Packers have struggled badly to establish their rushing attack without Jacobs, averaging fewer than 60 yards per game on the ground, but his return should provide a much-needed boost to an offence that has become increasingly reliant on Jordan Love. Green Bay has been particularly effective using play-action, with Love throwing five touchdowns without an interception on those plays this season, and that could be important against a Detroit defence that has struggled to defend play-action passing.
Detroit returns from its bye week sitting at 3-2 and boasting one of the most explosive offences in football. The Lions are averaging 32.8 points per game, the second-highest mark in the NFL, with Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown providing plenty of headaches for opposing defences. Detroit will also welcome back centre Cade Mays and defensive back Brian Branch, while Dan Campbell's side will be particularly motivated after losing twice to Green Bay last season. The Lions have been involved in high-scoring contests throughout the campaign, with all five games finishing over the total.
Prediction: This shapes as one of the most entertaining games of Week 7, with both offences capable of moving the football consistently. Detroit has averaged almost 33 points per game and should benefit from an extra week of preparation, while Green Bay's play-action passing game looks well suited to attacking one of the Lions' defensive weaknesses. Jacobs' return should also help the Packers sustain drives and create more opportunities for Love. With both teams possessing significant offensive firepower, we'll back another high-scoring NFC North showdown.

Kansas City Chiefs at Seattle Seahawks
11:20am AEDT
Kansas City has made a perfect start to the season, sitting at 5-0 after another impressive victory over the Chargers last weekend. Patrick Mahomes has returned to his best following last season's injury, while offseason addition Kenneth Walker III has transformed the Chiefs' rushing attack. Walker leads the NFL in rushing yards despite Kansas City already having its bye week, recording at least 117 yards in four of his five appearances. The former Seahawk now returns to Seattle looking to make a statement against the team where he began his career.
Seattle enters at 3-3 after consecutive defeats and faces a significant challenge attempting to slow the Chiefs. The Seahawks have not allowed a 100-yard rusher in 35 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL, but Walker represents arguably their toughest test during that period. Seattle's offence has also been inconsistent, with Sam Darnold throwing seven interceptions through six games, while the Seahawks have struggled to sustain drives on third down. Their defence remains one of the better units in football, but they will need to produce something special to contain both Mahomes and Walker.
Prediction: Seattle deserves respect at home, but Kansas City getting points against a Seahawks team that has lost consecutive games looks appealing. The Chiefs have been outstanding defensively, allowing just 3.5 yards per carry, which could force Darnold into obvious passing situations and create opportunities for turnovers. Mahomes has also been well protected, taking just six sacks this season, and should be capable of keeping the chains moving against a talented Seattle defence. We'll take the points with Kansas City to remain undefeated on Sunday Night Football.
